Tequila Sunrise: A Tribute to the Eagles
Saturday, March 24, at the House of Blues.
By Mike McGuirk
Published: March 21, 2007Lets just hypothesize for a minute that the last time classic-rock billionaires the Eagles passed through town, you couldn't go. Maybe you were incarcerated or one of those goddamned kids who broke their goddamned arm or something and needed a trip to the emergency room. Or maybe you simply couldn't scrape together the $600 for a nosebleed seat the last time they played here.
Well, you, sir or madam, are in luck. Named the best Eagles tribute band on earth in 2004 by none other than Rolling Stone, these festival-circuit veterans have performed alongside Eddie Money, Hootie and the Blowfish, and even hometown heroes the Raspberries, bringing their perfect recreations of all your favorite Eagles numbers to startling life with a six-piece ensemble. They even have a guy who looks like Joe Walsh -- kinda.
Well, who is it? Who can it be? The answer is Tequila Sunrise. In business since 2002 and based in Nashville, the Sunrise employs things like "voice imitary," "instrument authentication," and "high energy" to fully recreate an Eagles concert. So please try not to go insane with anticipation.
