Magic Carpet Ride

Like a scene from E!'s pre-Oscar-night show, spotlights will illuminate the entrance to Anatomy as revelers in tuxes and gowns stride into the nightspot for the On the Red Carpet fund-raiser for Families With Food Allergies. Once inside, a bevy of Tommy Bahama Girls will pour $3 mojitos, cosmopolitans, and rum-and-Cokes while DJs Go and Impure work the turntables. Films by Cleveland director Robert Banks will also screen throughout the club. "I asked him, 'Would you be offended if we could loop a bunch of your movies on the wall and through the TVs?' . . . I want it to be like a movie premiere with the visual effects," says Joy Serednesky, the party's organizer. "He said, 'Absolutely not! I love the idea." WKYC TV 3's Michael Cardamone, co-host of the Good Company Today morning show, has agreed to emcee an auction of prizes such as a part in Banks' next movie and a weekend rental of a $50,000 set of wheels from Mercedes of Bedford. The dude and babe who most closely resemble Hollywood stars will also score Best Costume prizes. "We want people to dress fabulously with Hollywood glamour, because of the red carpet out front," says Serednesky. "I'm trying to do something different and classy to pull people back into Cleveland." The party starts at 9 tonight at Anatomy Nightclub & Ultralounge, 1299 West Ninth Street. Admission is $5.
