Machine Go Boom
With the Kyle Sowashes and Unsparing Sea. Saturday, March 29, at the Beachland Tavern.
Published on March 26, 2008
Machine Go Boom plays experimental indie-rock that sounds like a randy marriage of the Stooges and Pixies. The Cleveland quartet appears to be on the verge of something spectacular. Speaking of such . . . despite what the group's website claims, nobody in Machine Go Boom ever starred in a porn movie. "It was meant to be a joke," says singer and guitarist Mikey Machine. But that doesn't mean doors are closed: "There's always more money in boobies than there is in music."
