Here’s a shout-out to the Grog Shop, which has been bringing up-and-coming indie-rock bands into town for 17(!) years now at its two different locations on Coventry Road. (Many hardcore underground rockers preferred the older, funkier one; we prefer the current one with air conditioning, decent sight lines and restrooms you don’t feel compelled to avoid).

The club is celebrating its anniversary this weekend with a free show tomorrow night featuring two Cleveland bands — Founding Fathers (with former members of the Tough and Lovely, the Reigning Sound, Roué and Tokyo Storm Warning) and Sun God — plus veteran Athens, Ohio, punk-garage rockers We March. Niggarochii hosts.

It all starts at 10 p.m. —Anastasia Pantsios
