"Jim Brown comes back with a 129-yard, three-touchdown effort in a 45-12 rout of the Steelers at Pittsburgh. The game matches Brown with rookie Bobby Mitchell in a potentially lethal backfield. Mitchell rushes for 65 yards and takes a Milt Plum screen pass 21 yards for a TD. The Steelers commit nine turnovers in the first pro game at Pitt Stadium."

"Winning touchdown is scored by Gary Collins as he leaps into the air to take Frank Ryan's pass in the final 44 seconds of Saturday night's game against the Steelers. Bob Hohn, rookie defensive back, looks on. This last-minute touchdown put the Browns ahead 24-19, giving the Browns a 3-1 record for the 1965 season."
