Waitress was TERRIBLE. But why would she even try since a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill?! NOT ONCE did she ask if we wanted something to drink, my husband had to go get our drinks from the bar each time. We had to ask for everything, napkins, butter and she didn't smile one single time. There is no way in hell she deserved a $20 tip. They refused to take the tip off the bill, but Discover will be taking it off for me.
Crab legs were good, but definitely not worth the godawful service. We will never go back.
Food is ok, standard american choices, quality was average. Service at this location, aside from our waitress Maddie, was HORRIBLE! We were quoted a 45 min wait, but instead stood unattended in the lobby entry for over an hour. Everyone who came in before and after us, was seated, while the terrible blonde hostess just kept saying i'm sorry no one is leaving, you just have to wait. All she did was play with and reference her touch screen contraption, and basically could not make a human choice, decision or action without it. The hostess staff never asked how we were while waiting as long as we did, nor did they make any effort in this enormous location to creatively come up with seating, putting tables together for the 6 of us - nothing. After over an hour, we prompted the hostess staff to split us up at booths we saw empty out, to avoid any further wait. The young staff was running around with one another joking, laughing, while customers just waited and looked on. They seemed to be having fun. The manager even socialized with the hostess staff, and frequently passed and just looked onto the waiting group of customer. Not sure he cared. Never a comment from him either during the hour plus wait. If you have long waits, tend to the people waiting a little - check in, direct them to the bar, ask if they need anything. Without us, your customers, you won't have paychecks - would be in your best interest as a service provider, to at a minimum, satisfy us, your customers. A table opened within minutes of us asking to be split up. You think the intelligent hostess, or her uninteractive manager would have come to move us there, NOPE - they were seating the next group. Work on you staff Brew Garden. I know they are young 20 somethings, but they are the face of your business, especially the hostess staff at the front door, and the management. Ask them to act like humans with brains, whose job is to service and please the other humans who walk in the door, and not just come to work to hang out with other staff, have fun and depend entirely on their electronic contraptions to tell them what to do next. I doubt I'll ever go back to this location. We live in a foody town with tons of amazing choices with true food quality and service. This is nowhere near a fit in that statement. To Maddie, the waitress, thank you for being the only one who made things happen and actually got us into a large booth together before our food was served.
Very disappointed in the bar servers I would call the maids but even maids do there job waited over 30 mins to get a beer , informed mgt. They acted like they didn't care how there bar servers were treating the customer he came out thought there was a understanding but it went on for. Another 10 mins went back I formed him again nothing was done that's not how you treat customers and epically one that's been coming there for a long time guess there are plenty other bars on that block that want my money. There should be -stars given johnny malloys u get an F today.
Chock full of creepy single men , who are allowed to roam freely , with cell phones, all through the place.
Red Space is basically a glorified warehouse, which is OK if that's what you're looking for. But be aware that it is very dirty. The floors are so filthy you would not want your guests to kick off their shoes (like they do at prom or weddings).
Ordered approx. 9pm. 1 large the works, big don italiano sub, cinnamon bricks street bread, and a deluxe stromboli. Order arrived almost an hour later, cold pizza. Cold stromboli, and burnt brick street bread. Weak stromboli.....Unacceptable in every way possible 31 bucks and I tipped over 3 bucks. NOT GOOD.
So disappointing! They don't carry Kahlua at the bar. That's all my husband drinks. So, I guess they don't have a full bar. Strike 1! The items listed on the menu seem to be so delicious and unique. However the food was so bland and unappealing. I ordered the Moroccan-Spiced Chicken Salad. It was basically flavorless. There were maybe 4-5 chunks of chicken in there. All together they wouldn't even equal half a chicken breast. What a rip off! My husband ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza. It too was bland and flavorless. Also... the wrong pizza was delivered to our table. We hadn't even realized that yet, but before we began eating the server returned to our table and retrieved that pizza telling us it was the wrong pizza. He carried it back inside (we were on the patio) and within 60 seconds he was out on the patio again serving what I believe was the same pizza to the table next to us. I have no proof but that is what I believe. We frequent Legacy Village because we live near by. But we'll never go back to California Pizza Kitchen!
I will never return there! We had "VIP" wristbands, which pretty much just meant not paying a cover charge, because we waited a little over an hour for service at two different bars (we had a group), there was no VIP section available/open, and the pool area was closed off to everyone. There was only one bartender that we saw that knew what she was doing and was able to keep up with the crowd. One bar ran out of multiple liquors, while another bar had supply, so neither was communicating. The "barbacks" or whatever they call them there, seemed to only serve the purpose of dancing behind the bar and staring at the bartenders work, which they could have at least wiped down the fully SOAKED bar instead of standing there. The DJ would play great songs to dance to, but only the first ten to fifteen seconds of each, just enough to get you excited, but not enough to enjoy a dance to it. As far as wanting a vegas feel, I had no sense of that nightlife. The lights were bright and there were no neon lights or lasers or any of that vegas nightclub jazz. I feel this bar opened WAY to soon, because no one there was ready for the crowd that came to see the "vegas style" nightclub, which was a joke! They need more bartenders, cocktail servers, and barbacks(who work), as well as some communication with the other bars and managers. I wish my group and I had a better experience, but needless to say, we won't be back.
Service is not good here!
Apparently Antonino moved back to Siciily and sold the business to a man who bought it for his son who apparently has worked in a bunch of resort restaurants (think ski resort etc). This place hands down used to have the best veal bolognese in the entire city and everything on this menu was consistent. Part of the charm of this dimly lit romantic hideaway from all things Mayfield Road was its obvious decor (yes there was actually a dolce and gabbana ad in the bathroom and the entranceway was adorned by ye olde Gustav Klimpt's The Kiss).
I took my family there a few days ago and it was honestly the worst dinner I've had in Cleveland or anywhere for that matter. I'm an avid cook of italian, french, and japanese cuisine and while i'm by no means a savant, I do truly consider myself a student of the culinary world and I like to think I do my best to give a good honest assessment.
The first course was a horrid "calamari special". Calamari special amounted to few lightly breaded tasteless squid pieces standing with their mouths agape next to a hilarious attempt at food art (someone was trying to be cute with what I assume was supposed to be an "aoli wave" that the calamari bits were surfing atop. This was not aoili, it tasted like sysco brand mayonaisse sprinkled with a few parsely sprigs (READ: the rot blackened root end of a carrot borne out of the unsold produce catacombs that lie beneath the sewer system of the West Side Market). It was simply put, disgusting.
My companion ordered Costate Di Agnello Al Rosmarino which is supposed to be lamb chops sauteed in olive oil white wine, lemon & rosemary. The lamb chops were served completely overcooked (well done and dry to the bone) with the same garbage "aoli" spread over the top. No olive oil, no white wine, no lemon, no rosemary (they used the same parsely sprigs). My other companion ordered the same dish and the plate was served with ZERO sauce, ZERO seasoning, no Sysco Brand Mayo. They basically took it out of the pan and slapped it on a plate. When we told the waiter he actually tried to make up an excuse instead of immediately grabbing the plate and apologizing.
When the manager asked me how dinner was I told him that this was our favorite restaurant for many years and everything was awful. He never offered to take anything off the bill. He smugly told me that they were going to be reopening soon. Hopefully this place closes soon as the family that bought it has ruined a special place for myself and countless others who knew better than to eat on Mayfield road or waste their money over at Washington Place. Do not eat here. Go to La Campagna in Westlake or Osteria di Valerio on St. Clair downtown cleveland (get the osso bucco). Shame on these people for disgracing the good name of Il Bacio.
Dangerous, muddy/not groomed/fallen logs and ruined bridges. Rider beware, I know!
Very Disappointing__ Twice was called by Skin Deep Laser Spa to Cancel scheduled appointments and the one time I called to Reschedule an appointment Due to Illness I was advised that I would be charged a "$25.00 No Show Fee," even after explaining I was bedridden, it was stressed my account would be charged. Where is the logic here__ let alone customer relations and/or good will? Or is their time more important than the customer? Should Skin Deep Laser Spa be charged a “$50.00 No Show Fee,” for the two appointments they Canceled? Needless to say this Business is not recommended and/or patronized again…Customer Service is the most important component of any business.
I would give 0 star rating to this place.
The worst experience we ever had at this place. Very bad customer service. The waiter doesn't have manners to talk to the customers. Will never visit again to this place. The owner of this place didn't even acknowledge the problem or apologize for the bad mannerism from his employee.
They don't have clear policy on the tips. We were seven people who went for lunch and there was one to-go order. We all paid separate checks and we saw 18% tip added automatically. We were ok with that. But we questioned why there was automatic tip on the TOGO order. He went back and re-printed the check for everyone but now he changed the tip to 20%. When questioned about it , he became arrogant and said it is just 2% why is it a big deal. Instead of explaining the mistake he started arguing. We asked to talked to the manager/owner of this place. Owner came said the lady who did billing didn't do it right. She didn't even say sorry ...and in front of the owner the waiter said he is not going to serve us in future and said dont bother to come again. It was very rude. The waiter was mocking our friend when he was trying to explain as he is not able to understand and making animated gestures at him. This i felt was very rude. It is worst every experience in any restaurant in my life so far.
Only good thing about this restaurant is their dessert. Their service is unbelievably bad and their food tastes like it was taken out of the freezer, into the microwave and onto your plate. If you are going to go getting dessert to go is your best option.
We were steady customers going every Friday for months at a time and occasionally on weekends to the Broadview Hts location. Happy hour prices were great and Bloody Mary's and drinks and food was great, to a point and great happy hour prices. Another visit convinced us that some of the food was not consistent when my wife got cold fried ravioli. On 10-22-14 a day that will live in infamy we invite our best friends and neighbors out on a Wednesday to celebrate the wife's retirement. Waitress quotes us $3.75 for a well drink Bloody Mary. They had ALWAYS been $3.00 for happy hour. Did we make a mistake of coming in on a Wednesday instead of Friday when we were treated fairly and not cheated? The manager came over and got in my face in front of our distinguished guests about how we were wrong for coming here so many times and apparently being given the wrong price for Bloody Marys . Really? You know what? Forget about ever having our business ever again ... unless you hire a manager that has a clue about how to treat repeat customers and keep up with restaurant sanitary conditions. Four hamburgers and only two of us got pickles? Have these guys gone cheap? Seems like it! Apparently some Cleveland businesses don't understand the concept of customer satisfaction. No wonder so many are going out of business. Friday and the weekends we never ever ever see the manager at this location ... and we get great service. Maybe you should fire him and service will continue to be great. Seems like when he showed up we got overcharged for drinks and shorted on pickles and treated like employees while some foul odor emanating from the nearby bathrooms ... good riddance to bad service restaurants ... your burger sizes are even shrinking .... my burger bun has still partly frozen .... your manager is a brat that needs a lesson in customer service and respect ... good riddance Danny Boys ... you lost our business ... el cheapos! What horrible customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Embarrass a steady customer in front of his guests???? Clueless!!!! Shame on you! And the seating by the bar by the door? What was that smell coming from the bathrooms? My neighbors said it smelled like a backed up sewer. We almost threw up. The Cleveland Health Department should shut you down! Why wasn't your brat manager on top of this? Oh yeah ... he was too busy micro-managing that extra 75 cents for the drinks ....
They had me call the restaurant manager and she also insisted that apparently a Bloody Mary is not a cocktail. I told them to look on Wiki ... they insist that the juice is extra. Really? Then they are only serving hard liquor and NOT cocktails for $3.00 at happy hour. We are not going back.
We went to Fishers tonight for dinner and drinks. The service was great. We were able to get 4 seats out the patio bar right away. The Fat Tire keg was empty but the Manager was in the process of replacing it so the drinks came quickly.
We ordered two appetizers and those came quickly as well.
We ordered several more rounds of drinks (served in minutes) prior to order dinner. By the time we ordered our entree's the patio was only at about 50% capacity. They were running their clam bake specials along with an all you can eat Cod fish fry. Two of us in the party ordered the fish. This was a big mistake! The fish that came out initially was Cod and very good. We both then order more and things quickly went down hill from there. We waited 20 minutes for the next order of fish even though our bartender admitted to pushing the kitchen staff to for the order. When the fish came it was totally different from the first order. These were patties of compressed fish parts that were simply fired mush! We complained to the bartender about the difference and she said she would look into it. When she returned she informed us they had ran out of the cod and replaced it with some other fish. We explained this was unacceptable and would like to talk to a manager. She once again left and when she came back stated there was no manager there that night. This was interesting since the manager that was there replacing the keg when we first arrived was still there when we left. We then asked for some type of discount on our bill because the All You Can Eat Cod was not available. We were told the only they could do was change the order to the standard Fish Fry - but that would be the same price! Again, we asked for a manager but were told again - no one was there. Ok - Friday night at a restaurant and no managers on duty...
This place purposely replaced the better fish with mush. They are a fraud but worse they are cowards as they hide behind the poor workers to deliver their lies. WHO DOES THAT??? Frauds do that, every day!!!
I will never return to this place and I hope no one else does either!
Beware employee theft can file complaint with management...
Well the prices have gone up and the quality of food has gone down. Choices in the beer selection have also dwindled. The "new" staff is less then polite. Since Kim Brugh took over the bar she has tried to turn it into a bistro instead of the neighborhood bar it is. I would recommend any other establishments down the block. I have been a regular at Herb's for over thirty years, and I will never go back.
Disappointed with my meal of linguine with red clam sauce. Way to watery and lacked sufficient amount of clams and sauce. The salad and bread was good. My wife's meal, eggplant parm was good. Her girlfriend's choice of chicken parm was too dry. Will not go back. Over hyped
When the hell is this place open!? It doesn't say on the scene magazine doesn't have The Glass House hours, Scene website doesn't have The Glass House Hours. even the glasshouse WEBSITE doesn't have its hours!!! Get it together people! Put the store hours on your ad's!
