It was cool, but too small. The NEW venue is Rippers Rock House on Manchester down by the cannel. Address is 2727 Manchester Rd. Great Place. Food is great and the house system is a killer Raising Hair/Jeff Hair system.
Went there last night for husband's birthday dinner. The food was pricey but the portions were generous. I enjoyed the restaurant's take on tater tots. The steak was reportedly delicious and cooked to order (rare), but the cedar plank salmon was average. The house salad was good to begin with but the red onion overbeared the taste farther into the dish. The service was extremely friendly and they served us complimentary champagne for the birthday. Overall, a good place to dine with others and take family, but a few notes short of fantastic.
It was very crowded for the halloween party and we wanted to sit down and we noticed the mgr moving a reserved sign from one table to another. I asked if we could sit at the vacated table and he said yes. He mentioned the table he was reserving was for the owner. So we sat at the vacated table. A little while later an irate woman comes up to the table yelling at us telling us the table was reserved and we needed to move. She was slamming her drink down and acting very much like a spoiled brat. We tried to explain the situation and that her table had been moved but she wouldn't listen and kept yelling. The mgr came up, showed her and apparently the owner where they were to sit. No apology, no "oops my bad" nothing from anyone, even the mgr. my friend goes up to the couple a bit later and says how rude the whole thing was and how we all deserve an apology and is that how you show good customer service. The owner pretty much said he didn't care if my friend and her little friends never came back (in apparently more interesting language). The girl started her tirade all over again. I couldn't believe an owner could be so rude and dismissive of the people who put money in his pocket.
Since the PD won't do it we depend on Scene to write the back story behind the resignation of David Franklin
Small town feel - friendly staff - outstanding reference librarian!!
Damon's is closed.
One of our favorite local restaurants. Sadly, it has closed.
I am from Florida and I visited this winery. I was so pleasantly surprised with the quality wines. The services were fantastic. I highly recommend this family owned and operated winery.
TXT'd to owner 17Sep13: Roberta May closed early because that what she does. Fuck the customer, she's gotta keep her fat self safe and scoot home to explain later, including editorial & character assassination. SHE BEARS FALSE WITNESS AGAINST HER NEIGHBORS.
Terrible service had the volunteer guy following you all night harassing you all night and walking around the party very unprofessional I believe if you pay for a hall you would enjoy your party but instead your watching this maniac to see what hes doing all night
Paponetti's the best place to go hang out with friends or by yourself.

My family and i went to Hunan of Solon 2 days ago the food was not better than any other local Chinese restaurant though it was cold and the bubble tea was nothing more than a milk shake with some frozen rice at the bottom, but the service was awful. After finishing my meal, I left a generous $10 tip because we were out with a guest. As soon as we stood up the man in the front confronted us stating that the bill didn't include gratuity, so we showed him that the tip was on the table. I guess our waitress didn't see the $10 bill so she pulled my daughter back to the table demanding that we shouldn't be so low class as to leave without tipping. I understand that they make their living off of tips, but at least check to see if there's money first before hassling someone about money they did close to nothing to earn. Regardless to say, we wont be coming back again.
We won't be going back to Bumpers in Mentor for All you can eat crab legs. We had the worst service ever. Except for the bus boy who did an excellent job of checking in to see if we had any plates he could take away. Unfortunately, there were none because we couldn't get food. Went there for all they want you to eat crab legs. Waited 40 minutes for our first order and 35 minutes for our second order. Paid our bill and left. Save your money and go to Pickle Bills
Yep lousy services, like they want U to leave. Food expensive & taste nothing special. D grade report card.
sushi are nice thou
I was very disappointed with my experience at Massimo's in June 2013 and it was even more upsetting because we were there for my bridal shower. When I booked the room in January I was very excited and had a great experience talking with Lisa. Unfortunately she was not there the day of the party. We were instead left to deal with the owner Tony. We were in the front room facing West 25th and we choose that room because of the beautiful view. The problem was the air conditioning was not working properly. When we tried to pull down the shades, the majority of them were broken and dusty, so that did not help the problem. When we talked to Tony, he said the air was on and there wasn't anything he could do about it. Mind you, he said all of this as he walked around inside smoking a cigar. We were told if we wanted it to be cool we should have booked the other room. I was shocked that an owner would talk to a customer like that. I had no idea the room would be that hot, and with that comment it seemed like he did. They did give us two small fans which were not helpful in a room of fifty women. If this wasn't enough to upset me, as we were packing the car a man walked in and began talking to Tony. When I entered the restaurant Tony looked right at me and said, "tell this guy we don't let (he used the N word!) in here." I was extremely offended that he said this and it was in front of some of my guests. I cannot believe that in today's world someone still talks like this. I was so upset that my guests had to hear this come out of the owners mouth. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, and don't know how someone could go back to this place knowing the kind of language the owner uses in front of his guests.
