I hadn't been to a hookah bar in a long time, and I never would have even thought about going here, but we finished dinner & didn't feel like going home. Somehow, we looked up and stumbled upon this Lounge . It was a really great hidden gem!
The ambiance was typical hookah bar- Middle Eastern decor, lots of comfy couches, dark lighting. The hookahs were very good and were serviced regularly. The music was fantastic, which was perfect. Enough to feel like you were having a night out, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. They even have a private/VIP room. The seating is comfortable and the service is excellent.
No need to kick Cleveland while it is down. It is a bit exaggerated to say true leader and valuable contributor when he rambling off everyone else's resume to validate existence. The resume of others looks like the man next to the man/men
Cleveland Hip-Hop went from being great at one time to TOTALLY sucking. Not quite sure what happened. Seems like alot of people in Cleveland are trying to be something they are not. I went to a party in Pittsburgh and it seems like cleveland is trying to copy the Pittsburgh scene. Cleveland can't quite do it right. Knowing what cleveland used to be I would have to give this rating a thumbs down and an absolute misrepresentation of hip-hop.
How in the hell did that house music head wrap poet party win bet hip-hop night club? C'mon Cleveland I know we aren't that stupid. There isn't real hip-hop night going on in cleveland.
A few Sanctuary Cleveland National Acts:
Rich Medina - April 5, 2014 (Probably the world's most widely sought after DJ aside from DJ Spinna) And by the way ... DJ Spinna appears at Sanctuary Cleveland on August 3, 2014.
NYC I Love Vinyl Crew - November 15, 2013 (a world famous DJ crew which includes Ge-Ology if you've ever heard music from Mos Def and Talib Kweli, you know who this is).
J. Rawls, October 5, 2013 (If you've ever heard music from Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Lone Catalysts, or pretty much anything on Rawkus Records, you know who this is).
Daz-I-Kue - August 3, 2013 (London DJ, founder of Bugz in the Attic)
Omar - July 14, 2013 (I know you know who this is, I won't even insult you).
Erik Rico - March 2, 2013 (if you've heard music from Tupac, Q-tip, Digable Planets, you should know him).
Just to name a few ...
Touch being the best hip-hop club is about as phony Colin Powell saying Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. I guess I can see why they would win when the bar in Cleveland is so low all you would have to do is put on a Run DMC record and you could potentially win. As for national acts...who are they and when were they there? Anyone from out of town can be considered national I guess. Hey chipper call in DJ WMD from sandusky and we will have a national act
Daniel is a true leader and a valuable contributor to the Cleveland art and music scene.
This is GOOD for Cleveland.
Best place to be seen if you're a douche.
It is hard not to get this wrong when there arent many gay bars in town.
Piano Lounge??? I don't know about that. I don't recall ever seeing a piano in Cocktails or even when it was Rockie's. They do have great karaoke twice a week on Wed & Sun.
However, I have to agree that this Gay club has evolved and is probably Cleveland's Best Gay Bar.
@ John..Eeeew....Never been...Never will...
I'm pretty happy with most of the selections here, I always enjoy when some of my picks end up winning!
there's a reason bounce has "sticky" floors...
Well...I nailed page one here...Kinda fell apart afterwards, which is okay!!! Some categories I have no clue and I'm fine with that!!!
where are the men ??? i see lots of clubs for the guys along with hooters and kiltz coming but where is the place for the ladies to ogle some hot guys in little kiltz...hello is downtown just for gamblers pervs and gay guys ???
