Re: “Untangling the Meaning Behind Jeff Mixon's 'Black Lives Matter in Cuyahoga County' Group

As far as the "how do protestors have time to protest if employed" issue, well, many of these groups who protest major events actually hire and often pay people $12-15 per hour to participate. So even though activists seemingly hold up their signs proudly, many of them may in fact not even care about what the rally is for.
And I'm not against black lives matter at all, however, the group seems to unite and hit the streets before all the facts are even looked at by them. To me, that's pretty dangerous as a society, and shows that they may not have matured enough yet.

LBJ yearned to be greater than FDR.....but set in motion the dismantling of the New Deal due to the morass from his unwinnable war.

Re: “Joshua Gaspar Indicted in Traffic Death of Ohio State Highway Patrolman; Lawyer Says He Wasn't On Drugs at Time of Crash

First this was a tragic accident but why some policemen stand in those areas. For tickets? Come on. That's not a safe place and anybody know that by the way the man wasn't in DRUGS the methadone does not impair driving. If the accident was committed by a cop everything would be different.

Re: “Gabe's Deli in Cleveland Closes Its Doors on October 7th

Gabe's is at 10429 Clifton Blvd right next to the Clifton wine and martini bar I would recommend getting the tower city sandwich to split with a friend! It's amazing! So sad to hear they are closing. 😭

And please update your Neighborhood Selection Options to reflect Edgewater- not just Ohio City Detroit Shoreway. Thank you

Re: “Gabe's Deli in Cleveland Closes Its Doors on October 7th

Once again Cleveland Scene you have mislabeled the area between 117 and the Detroit Shoreway as Lakewood. We are CLEVELAND. Edgewater Neighborhood to be exact. Gabe's has been a great asset and will be sorely missed.

Re: “Gabe's Deli in Cleveland Closes Its Doors on October 7th

So apparently there's a deli, named Gabe's Deli, in Lakewood, where I live, and it has been open for north of a year. But will only be open for two more weeks. But there's no mention of what street it's on, or its address. So, thanks, news.

I've heard that before Dennis. Hopefully you know more about drinx prices than you do about managing a rust belt city. SMH

Re: “Murder at the Hippie House: As Ohio Fumbles Marijuana Legislation, a Benevolent Weed Operation Ends in Bloodshed

When he was alive she said he's a monster when he hits her and abandons her and Ivy, but she's far from a saint herself.. Sad those babies were put in that situation, and they are stuck living their parent's mistakes. No sympathy for Corey or Tia, but I really hope she can learn from this and make a better life for her kids. Didn't leave Corey because she knows what it is to come from a broken home.. Congrats, your kids have a different darkness they've been born from.

That is disappointing. Really kick-ass sandwiches and nice people. Hope they can regroup and open somewhere else.
