Re: “Ohio EPA Will Allow Proposed Ethane Cracker to Discharge Wastewater into Ohio River

Steel guy is right. The water is far cleaner going back in than coming out. Calling it waste is a misnomer. #nothingtoseehere #

Hi and Dry? That...actually sounds pretty good! More of a Tremont kind of place, pre-gentrification.

Re: “Dan Gilbert Doesn't Attack His Critics, Says Dan Gilbert Spokesperson in Article That Included Dan Gilbert Attacking a Critic

Ask the politicians that added 2 more casino's right in his markets backyard despite a state constitutional amendment saying only one. I don't blame him for not building it, Columbus split up the market on him. Doubt it makes any financial sense any more.

Re: “Ohio EPA Will Allow Proposed Ethane Cracker to Discharge Wastewater into Ohio River

You are correct in that ethane has a relativility low vapor pressure. However a cracker puts a carbon based molecule through a series of reactions to "crack" the bonds to derive other chemicals. The waste water would contain small amounts of chemical waste as indicated in the article. Analysis of the waste may show that it is in within acceptable limits in terms of ppm or ppb, however there would trace amounts of the bi-products from the cracking process present.

Where is the downtown casino's Phase II? The plans must be tucked away in a landfill.

Re: “Zygote Press Hosted a Women's March Poster Party in Advance of Inauguration Weekend

Sports fans of a certain age - and NHL fans, in particular - know the tale of notorious con artist (and former northeast Ohio resident)John Spano and his brief ownership of the New York Islanders. If things hadn't crumbled from the massive weight of deceit and lies, he could have placed himself on a trajectory to the Oval Office.

Re: “Ohio EPA Will Allow Proposed Ethane Cracker to Discharge Wastewater into Ohio River

Um you guys do realize that the ethane won't stay in solution in the water right? Vapor pressure is too high, you won't have any of the contaminants in the water as they will remain in a vapor state.

Re: “Ohio EPA Will Allow Proposed Ethane Cracker to Discharge Wastewater into Ohio River

I remember run off from farms using various fertilizer that eventually worked it's way to the ocean / bays on eastcoast causing dead zones and as a result hurt the population of crabs and other marine life.. it took more than one farm but the idea that farmers hundreds of miles away if not more contributed to these dead zones raises questions in my mind as to the overall health of the waterways that wildlife depends on.

@ STEEL GUY. I'd like to see you drink a glass of that processed waste water. Just scoop a glass into the discharge stream and gulp it down. You know, to prove how safe it is.

Re: “Two Suspected Overdoses, Four Assaults on Officers in Last Week at Cuyahoga County Jail

Just pathetic. It appears that the elected folks have no concern for the direct and immediate safety of the officers nor the prisoners. While "Rome" burns the County Executive and Council sit and fiddle away. At some point, the voters within the county will awaken to find one of two things. One, the county is in ruins, broke and burning. Two, the county could become a pristine safe place to reside. Right now and at this moment, number one is well under way.

Everyone needs to learn and begin to start voting intellectually and not emotionally. Stop voting for these clowns solely based upon their name, their political party, their gender or their culture. Start looking and reviewing their past history. If we continue to vote as we have the ashes will just smolder.
