How is this news?
This is ridiculous. He wasn't charged with DUI -- a charge that can be brought for someone drunk in a parked car -- which tells me he wasn't as intoxicated as they're claiming. Sounds like he mouthed off, which cops don't like, so they found a reason to arrest him.
Your write up seems to be lacking some sort of opinion on your experience. Intentional???
Made my first stop at Barabicu last week. Really awesome barbecue. What a welcome addition to Parma's business community. I wish them all the best.
A man on his own property can't enjoy himself in a harmless fashion. Cleveland Heights Gestapo at it's finest. Hopefully charges aren't brought or are dropped quickly.
She's playing nice now? Talking about Brad's favorite beer, subtle. Anyway, now she's got a new movie to plug she's trying to put on her Saint face. However in the Guardian article, apparently they brought live leeches to set because she (as the director) was considering attaching them to the 9 year old actor. She attached one to herself perhaps to see the kid's reaction - yes or no? I imagine child labor laws are different in Cambodia. Thankfully they decided to use plastic leeches on second thought. She's such a nice lady and exemplary child advocate.
It sounds like the owner of Ribsticks got suckered into buying one of those hideously expensive European meat water baths. We've had steaks cooked that way, and they were pretty awful. Whatever is done to try to make it taste like a piece of freshly-cooked meat after it's removed from the water, emphatically does not work.
The road designers, who are never on them unless exceeding speed limits in luxury vehicles, have destroyed the Public Square, the Rt 2 Shoreway, Clifton Boulevard Madison and Detroit streets for pedestrians and bus riders. Open the street and bring the bus stops closer to the pedestrians !!! Go Zack Reed.
Great to see this new brewer coming to Battery Park. I though continue to be disappointed by so many brewpubs opening with no food options. This business model of relying on nearby restaurants or food trucks is not appealing to me. I like to be able to enjoy something to eat and have a fresh beer in the same location.
Abe: nope. It's a federal highway. The mayor can close it, but he can't remove it. Which makes his stupid plan even stupider.
When the original punk scene crashed and burned - and it can be argued that the one-off gig by punk super-group Vicious White Kids on August 1978 at the Electric Ballroom in London was the final cut - hardcore emerged from the ashes with an incredible energy that exploded into subgenres heard today. "Let's get this established joke a shove" - indeed.
Related: Broussard's is awesome.
Headline: Zach Reed is a dim bulb. In other news, water is wet and the sun is hot. "The public needs to have their voices heard....but they better have this afternoon free to speak because I'm requesting that be the last day before the feds send us the bill". Once again, though, thank you Scene for actually asking the questions rather than just transcribing the BS. Now any chance you could get your hands on the actual letter itself? Just curious what bar napkin it was written on. I got my money on Dive Bar.
On a related note, if they do keep Superior closed, can we rip up the pavement there? Cleveland Cops seem to think it's their auxiliary parking lot, and now some genius with the City has decided to park vans there. I'm assuming said genius thinks this is some anti-terrorism scheme, but that's borderline retarded if true. You literally could drive a truck carrying a mobile home right around those vans (while drinking Starbucks with one hand, shooting a gun with the other, and steering with your knee) if you so desired. Or do I have it wrong and the City is using the space for a seized vehicle auction?
Gahl-Mills seems well versed in the art of dodging a question. She is a career administrator. Apparently with little grasp of the actual "art" community, that she is supposedly in a position to fund and represent. Time to audit our tax dollars...
LakeErieSeaGulls...you're exactly right! The State of Ohio allowed Dan Gilbert to renege on the permanent casino location that was slotted for the flats. The jobs that were to be created were the priority supposedly. If I had it to guess, I'm sure someone received a handsome ransom for allowing him not to honor his commitment. The City and County are absolutely wrong for rushing through the process to issue $160M to him for the remodeling of the Q. Dan can afford and should be afforded the benefit of paying it for himself. There are a million needs in this city worthy of $160M in assistance, just ask the residents!
My understanding is, under the Violence Against Women act, that when police observe injuries, they must arrest the aggressor even if the victim indicates she does not intend to press charges.
If I'm right, the Willobough police are per se liable, because they did not do their duty and someone was murdered as a result.
How terrible for this lady's loved ones.
My family enjoyed an amazing dinner on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Chicago's Chicken and Waffles in Cleveland, Ohio. We had a party of 17 without a reservation and was seated promptly. The staff and food was phenomenal! Love, love, love the atmosphere and decor.
Her boyfriend should never have been given a pat on the wrist and then let go! It's illegal to have possession of drugs. If this were Cleveland, and he was black, he would've been arrested. It's not fair that police are allowed to biased.
Wow... I'm ashamed.
