I miss the Rockcliff. It was great local go-to spot for us. I can not seem to find anything good about Ferris, unless you like a bag of baby carrots marinated in Kool-Aid as a side dish. The of flat screens is reminiscent of Spector's "Wall of Sound". And who tears out a wood fire oven?
This review touches on several of the worst aspects of Ferris Steakhouse. I ate there the week it opened and the whole experience was awful. My order took over an hour to be served and was wrong twice! 45 minutes after we ordered, our server came by every 5 minutes to apologize (without food), which I found more annoying than the tardiness of the order. The steak was bland, dry and chewy. Weeks later I found myself back with family members who insisted on eating there despite my warnings. I relented, hoping that Ferris had ironed out their problems from the opening week. I was wrong- it was just as bad.
Good article on a worthy chef but check the spelling of "dombrowski" in the title.
