First of all I have nothing but the upmost respect for our law enforcement officials and they need not be degraded! When I was a child we idolized them. However these cameras are an infringement on our privacy and god given rights. With freedom comes responsibility, when people stop taking responsibility for there actions, government takes those freedoms away. That's where we are in this country now! No responsibility for your actions, my freedoms taken away. Thanks for dragging me down with you!
You are an ignorant moron! This isn't police doing their job. This is putting undo financial stress on so many residents who can hardly afford a home for their family. This is stealing hard earned dollars from good people that need it.
Real police work is not citing someone for driving 42 in a 35 (which in my opinion is not reckless - vehicles of today are a touch more safe than they were in the 80s when these arbitrary numbers were accepted).
Real police work is stopping the local heroin epidemic currently taking over our high school age children, putting an end to local government corruption, catching a murderer, rapist, child molester or career con artist. Rarely to never do you hear of anything of this sort as rarely to never does our local finest achieve these objectives.
All we need is a few more morons like yourself at the polls and we won't have to worry about issues like this for much longer.
Legalize it and tax it. It's run by the mob...and if these guys aren't connected, they're gonna get hurt. Why let the mob make all the money. And by mob, I mean any number of organized crime organizations. I think the Chinese do the lay off in Cleveland. Clevelanders gamble. Heck, the Catholics are raised to gamble (which I think is shameful). But if it's going to be that why, why should Dan Gilbert, charity gaming and the mob make all the money? Let legit small biz get involved and tax the heck out of it. Win for gamblers, too, who would/should get a better line.
88.7, 89.3, 91.1 have and will continue to be the ONLY radio stations worth listening to. Commercial free, more music, fewer hits. Wake up people!
Red Wine & Brew opening late January early February in Mentor with 30 growler taps as well as 3000+ other beers, 6000+ wines, 150+ premium cigars, wine bar and lounge with outdoor......
Seriously people! Quit hating! You have how many English stations you can listen to compared to us Latinos? We have none! Accept the fact that we have a huge Hispanic population in Cleveland.
I went twice and waited a long time to be seated and, to my surprise, an even longer time for things like chicken salad or soup. The staff was pleasant but always seemed overwhelmed or hapless. I could not understand what was going on to cause the agonizing dinner experience. I like Doug Katz and I know that he is good for Cleveland. I am hoping this comes together into a cohesive menu/space/experience.
hahahahahaha that is bogus!!!! I was told by a police officer that they CANNOT cite you on private property. When I was involved in a car accident a few years ago in a walmart parking lot, the guy with expired plates who hit me could NOT be cited for neither "causing the accident itself" OR for the "expired plates" by the officer because it happened on private property. All the officer could do was give him a verbal warning letting him know that there was no promise he wouldn't get pulled over for expired plates once he left the premises. SO.......how does this work again???
So, people with serious circulatory disorders like Raynaud's phemonenon? Who struggle in the winter anyway? What are they supposed to do? And don't say, "that's just too few people to worry about." It's more than you'd think, and it's cruel to disregard the fact that a silly law like this would create health risks and, at the very least, extreme pain and discomfort for any individual. There needs to be a provision for medical exemption.
He go to Pittsburgh and pee on stadium grass. That no got to do wife, you play? Why he do it to family. Don't add up. All on board?
How he do with alcohol no matter with hit. How he do in air ain't straight playing a fool and actin scared. You agree?
Today I was leaving and our building security told me that the Cleveland Police told them to warn me that if my car is started again and I'm not in it I would receive a ticket. I had never heard of such a silly thing. I took myself to the local police department to ask. I was advised that there is "traffic police" that all they are doing is driving around looking for things like start cars. I said this us sad that there's so many things the police should focus on and a start car should not be one of them. The car was parked in a private parking lot and there was no key in the ignition.
This is ridiculous
I been going to Slavic Village for years , day and night, 5am even (Red Chimney) and have never had a problem. Coming from NYC I never understood why people were afraid to go there.
It's a good neighborhood where I come from.
I have come to the conclusion after meeting some of these suburban sissy boys that they lead a pampered life. A few boarded up buildings and they are shaking in their boots.
Ask one of these babies to stand on the corner with you in winter to catch a bus and they'll look at you like you got two heads. It was a way of life where I came from.
Cleveland is a great place held back by being in the backwardly closed minded state of Ohio.
Definitely doesn't seem like they fixed anything really...They took off a pretty awesome reuben. Definitely too expensive for a "diner", but too "diner-y" for upscale prices. I don't see myself ever making the trek from the West Side ever again unfortunately, with so many great options here and downtown.
I've read the new (chicken ala kingless menu, FYI) and am not quite sure how much things have really changed... Had it gone from upscale diner to burger joint - or vice versa - then maybe so... But the changes might be big to Katz Club - but not so much to the diners... Only thing I notice is the (continued) smallish menu...
Wonder if any work was done on the atmosphere - like the odd, quiet, jut-out from dining room - that had no music - but two tables - so you could hear the stranger next to you breath, swallow, chew, etch...
No mention of whether bar car is still running... or did it already stop. And unfortunate that crowds apparently weren't coming late - as the diner now shuts by 10 any night, some 9 - and closed 2 days a week (name another restaurant that does that...)
This reads "the place is in more trouble than stated" to me - though hope not...
What a bunch of stupid aholes. Has anyone of you gotten a ticket for warming up your car in your own driveway? Or apt./condo parking lot? ANYONE? If you leave your running car unattended on the street or public parking lot you deserve to have your car ticketed AND towed for being a friggin dumbass. And you diesel truck drivers...you need ticketed for leaving your trucks running in a residential area. Who wants to listen to that shit all night... Whiney sons a bitches.
Ok seriously.....has Anyone gotten a ticket for having a running unattended car in their driveway? ANYONE? If you leave your car running unattended anywhere else ,like a road or parking lot then you SHOULD get a ticket and your car towed for being a friggin dumbass...
Being cooked to order seems to be a novel concept in this fast(er) food nation. It is well worth the "wait", though.
Big government should just set up toll booths on city and residential streets.
Did anyone look at the part that states this was passed in 2004? By my count that's 9 years ago, and has anyone heard of or know anyone who has gotten a ticket for this? Seems to me most likely it IS to deter people from stealing your car, or a possible situation where the car might come out of park and injure someone, for example a child could enter car and hurt themselves or others.
