Re: “Freedom Trolls: The Legally Obnoxious Antics of the Activists Behind 'Cop Block'

Libertarian? No. It's called knowing your rights. This article is completely bias and one sided. I wonder what connection the author has to Law Enforcement. If you don't think there is a deterioation of US Citizens rights going on right now in this country, you're blind or part of the system doing it. Look around, open your eyes. Our Police force has become a Military force and the average citizen is the enemy.

Love how he says it's suburban white guys, which is completely untrue. A sampling of 20 people out of thousands of us is not a good indicator. We come from all races, all political leanings. Think of how many times Law Enforcement jumps on a person saying "Stop resisting" with 5-10 Police officers beating on the "perp" who has done actually no resistance.

This "journalist" as as ethical as the Law Enforcement officers they try to protect.

Re: “Chief Wahoo's Waterloo: A Photo from Protests Outside the Indians' Home Opener Goes Viral and the Debate Over the Team's Logo Grows

WHITEs don't understand that RACISM they practice and preach effects OUR children as well as the grandchildren.. WHY should they grow up with that stupid WHITE reasoning that "if yer White, yer right" nonsense.. My grandfather was JH Bowman, Codetalker during the WWII pacific war. My father served in Korea.. many uncles fought in Vietnam.. I myself got to tour Central America in the 1980's... Many Native Americans have fought and died for the United States of WHITE America, TRUE?? So, WHY perpetuate the stereotype of the "Indian" ?? WHY? and what gives YOU, "ANGLOs" the right to preach to "us" Indians anymore, anyway? Look at all the trouble WHITE policy has gotten America into in the world.. Doncha get it ?? WHITE folkways and mores are deceitful, dishonest and disrespectful to all those nations affected by your hypocrisy..

Re: “Annals of Knife Violence: They're Coming for Your Cutlery

So...Brady says they aren't trying to take your guns away...

"We're going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily -- given the political realities -- going to be very modest. . . . [W]e'll have to start working again to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen the next law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we'd be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal -- total control of handguns in the United States -- is going to take time. . . . The first problem is to slow down the number of handguns being produced and sold in this country. The second problem is to get handguns registered. The final problem is to make possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition-except for the military, police, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors-totally illegal."

Richard Harris, A Reporter at Large: Handguns, New Yorker, July 26, 1976, at 53, 58 (quoting Pete Shields, founder of Handgun Control, Inc. (aka the Brady Campaign)

Are you a "citizen vigilante" who is still referring to cops as "pigs" and who thinks America is a "fascist state"? YOU MIGHT BE A LIBERTARIAN.

Re: “Wish You Were Here: 20 Vintage Cleveland Postcards

Number 9 makes me want to cry...or curse. The powers-that-be repeatedly promised to preserve the lakefront's Donald Gray Gardens (image 9) when the new stadium was built. They lied. The gardens were destroyed in order to save the name and the colors of the Browns.

If Soldier Field was saved and upgraded for the Bears, why couldn't the old Stadium have been saved and renovated (for the New Browns) with the 175 million that voters approved on the VERY DAY that Modell bolted for Baltimore?

Not only would it have saved the gardens, the renovations would have saved the taxpayers over 300 million dollars. And the old dump probably could have been retrofitted for a dome eventually.

So now? Read it and weep...no gardens, a crumbling POS that is used ten days a year, with no possibility of a roof, ever. And an expansion team that still plays like one. After the last fifteen years of Clowns foo-ball, I'd rather have the gardens back. To look at them again is to weep for what might have been.

Re: “The Ass is Wrong

You know Frank, jealousy is an ugly, ugly emotion. Drew does more good for his fellow man every time a rerun of his sitcom hits the airwaves, than you will do in your entire obnoxious, sniveling life.

I would also imagine he is a big fan of the cops who shot a homeless man in the back in Albuquerque. Booyah!

Has Doug Brown written anything about the brave national guardsmen at Kent State in 1970? I would think they would be his heroes.

Re: “Seymour Ave. Horror to Become Lifetime Movie

LIFETIME movies are third-rate soaps...made-for-TV garbage...the bottom of the barrel. And when is enough enough? When does the milking stop? Will there be punches to the stomach and vomiting of split-pea soup? Damn betcha!

Just when you thought we had put all this behind us and moved on. Fat chance. It'll never end...not as long as this movie is made...and shown...and re-shown.

And it will be, because there will always be sick fucks who want to watch this type of torture-porn shit...and re-watch it. They'll probably DVR it and pleasure themselves while watching it.

Whatta sick world. Conductor, can you let me off at the Sane Asylum. Please?

Re: “Copyright Lawsuit Against Medina Bar: 'Unauthorized' Show By Local Classic Rock Cover Band Caused 'Great and Incalculable Damage'

So, the local talent show, the lip sync competitions, the Farmer's Markets with the guy strumming his guitar, they guy on the street corner playing his sax with his case open on the sidewalk - all of these folks need to pay some over bloated corporation to have a little fun and collect a few dollars change? I understand the need for copyright laws to keep folks from recording a song and selling CDs, etc. But to shoot the little guys? That's just abuse of a good idea. We had to shut down high school kids playing for fun at the Farmer's Market in our town of 1200 because of this. We are not an entertainment venue, we're a struggling Midwest community trying to boost the sales of our local farmers.

Re: “KISS Frontman Paul Stanley Addresses Controversy Surrounding Band's Rock Hall Induction

When on stage, yes, Gene Simmons is always the bassist, but if you look at the songs when recorded you will find that Paul has played bass on some of the recordings.

That spot specifically is extremely windy. Have people thought about that when they decide to put the chandelier there?

Re: “Freedom Trolls: The Legally Obnoxious Antics of the Activists Behind 'Cop Block'

this article is completely un balanced, i was there that night. this article leaves out several things that officer did and painted us as the antaginizers, i spoke with every cop that night with respect and shook their hand in a effort to show that we are not cop haters, we are against those who abuse their power and wish to hold everyone accountable. how can that be a bad thing ?

Re: “KISS Frontman Paul Stanley Addresses Controversy Surrounding Band's Rock Hall Induction

In addition to lead and background vocals, Paul Stanley plays lead, acoustic and rhythm guitar, not bass. Gene Simmons, is now and has always been, the bassist for KISS!

Re: “Seymour Ave. Horror to Become Lifetime Movie

I don't think a movie should be made about this at all. Looking more at the movie, why only focus on Michelle Knight? The other girls suffered just as much as she did. ALSO, who in their right mind would let those poor girls relive the horror they went through by watching a movie on Lifetime every Sunday. That's absolutely ridiculous. I went through something very similar to these girls and while I may have gotten the justice of knowing I could finally sleep again at night, that I wasn't going to be awaken by a man who held dominance over me; there is no way on God's green Earth I would ever want my story as a movie. Is that truly justice? Or getting the "word" out that rape and kidnapping happens? I don't think so.
