Re: “City Will Introduce New Dirt Bike Legislative Package, Says it Will Prohibit Stunts

As most intelligent people know, the dirt bike track will not be used by these riders. There interest is not dirt bike riding. It is getting attention and terrorizing people, so they would have no reason to use the dirt bike track.

Re: “Enough With Crappy 1950s Nostalgia and Shows Like "Forever Plaid"

Normally I don't give guys like you the time of day. I have seen forever plaid in the neighborhood of 15 times. TV and music from that era is far superior than anything today. You had to have talent then. Now you can sport a ring in your nose, giant holes in your ears, a tramp stamp, & live in your parents basement so they can watch your kids and cry about how much the world owes you. No thanks! I'll see forever plaid another 15 times!!

Re: “Enough With Crappy 1950s Nostalgia and Shows Like "Forever Plaid"

Wait until you get to the point in your life when everything you've enjoyed is considered "old" and passe.

Aside from the fact that this level of nostalgia is generating money to this day, there is still room up there for new stuff, well letting this bubble of entertainment continue.

The older generation that enjoys this has more of a disposable income than previous generations. It's a different lifestyle, and they like nostalgia.

As someone else already stated, there's nothing on television geared for them. Some shows have proven that an older demographic is still a viable demographic.

So, in other words... Who need your opinion? If the damn shows still fill a venue with an audience, somebody's making money, while you sit there staring at your screen trying to come up with some with some idea that you think passes for a controversial statement to legitimize your paycheck.
If you want to complain about a show like this and why should go away, come up with a fresh idea after you've got proof that it's a better than what people keep come back to see over and over again.

....meanwhile, if I speed in my car, or drive with no license plate in a stolen vehicle with no drivers license, and run from the police, I'll go to jail. These guys, nahhh.

I GOT MY DIRTBIKE, made it street legal, put a plate on it, got a motorcycle endorsement on my license and pay insurance. I guess I shouldn't have bothered.

Such a story could be updated a bit if Jethro Tull's "Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die!" could be reworked for the theatrical stage.

Timing is everything. Frank Jackson has essentially permitted lawless activity to provide cover for his grandson. Now - as his re-election campaign readies to swarm into neighborhoods - he suddenly wants to take back the streets and parks.

Re: “City Will Introduce New Dirt Bike Legislative Package, Says it Will Prohibit Stunts

Twice in the last ten days I've encountered the Rat Pack stunting along St. Clair Avenue in front of the Westin and on Lorain Avenue by the West Park Post office. For as much noise as they produce they attracted the attention of no law enforcement officials. Sadly our police have more urgent matter to attend. Maybe we can get Jim Brown or Jesse Jackson to do an intervention with the Mayor's grandson before a casualty occurs.

Re: “Enough With Crappy 1950s Nostalgia and Shows Like "Forever Plaid"

Veep? Rascal? What the flood are you babbling about? You need to take your meds and change your Depends. And lighten up. Cheezus Chrysler, give 'em a break. There's nothing for geezers on TV anymore, so let them have their harmless fun before you push their wheelchairs down the stairs.

And no, I'm not some Millennial asshole snarking at the drooling Boomers. I am you. One of the tribe. I am going to hit that same big "pre-dead" mile marker in August.

Only I won't have to commiserate with some boring play on my birthday (already seen it, in other venues, multiple times). The Big Guy (AKA "God") is giving me an actual fucking TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE for my birthday!

Chill out, dude. Drag your sorry, wrinkled, old ass down to Carbondale, IL...and you can party with me and NASA and a hundred thousand of my new friends. And watch me blow out the candles in total darkness at noon...well, 1:20 PM, anyway. Close enough for jazz.

Meanwhile, The Don is blabbing significant classified information to Putin & Friends....which carries the price tag of stroking an immature and crazed ego.

Re: “Slavic Village Residents Rage Over Dirt Bike Track: "Nobody Here Wants to Hear it"

Apparently, the word is out that unless you are a fleeing felon or suspected of DUI, Cleveland police cannot and will not chase you. And the thugs and criminals know this well.People have been running from the cops forever. But now they can do it with impunity...and laugh about it all the way home.

And they can keep on doing this "Street-Takeover" shit on dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles, and give the cops the finger while doing it. As well as giving that same finger to every citizen in their path.

This being Cleveland, you know damn well that some citizen (or citizens) will eventually point their own fingers and say "BANG"....

Only it may not be with fingers. And the match will light the gasoline. POOF. BOOM.

Wake up, Frank. Or else you can wave bye-bye when the door hits your ass on your way out.

Re: “Report: Cavs to Announce Jersey Sponsorship with Goodyear Today

The wingfoot logo isn't terrible...could have been something truly awful. So what's down the road a piece? Changing the name to the Cleveland Wingfoots? Or maybe the Wingfeet? Sorta catchy, in a sick way.

Hey, even if they go back to stinking someday...every year will be a good year from now on.

Re: “LeBron's Impact Outside of Basketball, Free Throws, and the Lean and Molly — The A to Z Podcast With Andre Knott and Zac Jackson

The pathetic local loudmouths on ESPN Cleveland continue the disturbing trend of creating fake news and blasting noise -- until the lies are called out.....as lies. Let's not forget Aaron Goldhammer attempting to destroy the career of a high school football head coach by erroneously claiming that he ordered his team to run up the score against an early season opponent.

Re: “4th Annual 'Rooms to Let' Returns to Slavic Village This Weekend

I'm very excited and challenged to have our Chain Reaction project commit to Slavic Village.
There are 12 days left for small companies to apply to possibly be funded by our investors.
This neighborhood has a breathtaking legacy, and an equally exciting future. We're very proud to contribute toward their growth.

BUSINESSES CHIP IN TO KEEP MAJORITY OF CITY COUNCIL

Plain Dealer, The (Cleveland, OH) - Friday, September 17, 1993
Author: BENJAMIN MARRISON and CATHERINE L. KISSLING PLAIN DEALER REPORTERS
Big Business is PAC-ing in the money for Cleveland City Council.

PACs, or political action committees, account for nearly one-third of the money raised by a newly formed "Council Leadership Fund," which has collected $135,563 to retain a majority of council members who face re-election this year, according to documents filed yesterday with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Political action committees representing area law firms, businesses and developers, many of which represent interests that do business with the city, contributed $42,800 to the fund.

The fund is controlled by Council President Jay Westbrook. Mayor Michael R. White and businessman Sam Miller have pledged to help Westbrook raise $300,000.
