And She's pretty!!!!
I think thats a must see movie!!!!
Looks cannot cover up bad acting....
Twilight is full of that....
Jennifer Lawrence is subline....That chick from the twilight thing is too....uhhh....clunky...Yeah Clunky...No natural movement...
Great review from a film critic who understands the value of a movie from the perspective of the audience rather than the typical cynic who is filled with arrogance and indifference. The main objective of a movie is to entertain rather than meet some elitist literary agenda. Kudos for rising about the snob-filled stench of the sub-standard critic world!
I saw it this weekend and this review was spot on. One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time - feel cheated.
from the name of this movie, i can only assume it's a documentary about a marriage counselor.
Is a coming-of-age story supposed to end with a finale where someone's life hangs by a thin thread? And is it possible that you, mr reviewer, found the film, "pretty damn boring" because you are a man watching a film about women?
I am having a whopper with cheese and bacon from my favorite place Burger King
But it HAS to be good! I'm still pretending that Prometheus wasn't a bloated disaster, and Blood Meridian is like my favorite book ever! I don't have to actually see the film to know that if this (or any) critic didn't like it, it's simply because he or she didn't UNDERSTAND it!
As soon as I finish making this Breve (omg people, why don't you losers ever TIP??!) I'm going to look up this critic's other reviews and use them to declare his opinion on The Counselor totally invalid.
I wonder what the reviewer would say about a David Lynch film?
Or Terrence Malick?
Youtube the reactions of people coming out of the London screening.
"This is an adult film. A film for grown ups."
The last thing adults want is a film that spells everything out and doesn't
require multiple viewings to understand all the intricacies subtly laid
out by a director.
The lead has no name? And??? That's a complaint?
If you were old enough to understand Western tropes you would understand
this fact was discussed in the 30 minute conference days (weeks?) ago.
It's called the man with no name and it signifies this film is partially a western in disguise.
Agreed. "abstraction and philosophy" is what is MISSING from film today.
I'll be first in line.
"The central flaw of the film, though, comes (surprisingly) at the hands of Cormac McCarthy, the manly-man novelist (author of No Country for Old Men, among others) who wrote a script so dripping with abstraction and philosophy that it often feels like we're watching half of a film, the half that ought to have been edited out. With a nonstop barrage of cameos, monologues and no prominent storyline, the movie is a narrative disaster"
Ahh, so it was Shakespearean and not dumbed down enough for you. I see. Well, I'll be at the theater the minute it opens then. Thanks for the review.
This guy was just another fucking jaggoff who, along with other assholes like Jerry Springer and other idiot loudmouth TV pundits helped degrade and constrict American discourse, ushering in the festival of ignorance we endure today.
I am French living in the US and I confirm that her accent is French! Not outrageous like Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther! She is spot on... Kudos.
How much we're the tickets for this concert?
She is speaking English with a slight French accent and she learned french growing up.. Calise.. elle le parle tres bien
All some wonderful baseball movies, good watching here!
lol, he said "Snatch"
