Tge girks were killed by Cook brother serial killers but media police wish to cover it up because the perps were black men
I believe that education needs to continue on this subject. Most Ohioans view it as a negative thing when in reality it is no different than someone drinking. Look at the tax money that can be collected by the state. Colorado in 2016 collected $150.00 million, why are we so close minded in Ohio?
I do not smoke pot nor will I when it is legal but I do see the advantages to it. You have people suffering and using drugs that will harm them or even kill them. Let them smoke pot without being punished for it. Look at the opioid epidemic currently happening in every state right now. We are trying to come up with something to help them, why not let them smoke weed?
As a business person I can see great potential here. I personally would love to open a shop with a variety of different flavors for people to purchase legally. I think that offering candies, oils, wax, and marijuana would be very profitable. People are going to do it no matter what why not make a profit off of it.
I have worked in the medical field for 30 years and I am very surprised more physicians are not on board with this. We feed the pharmaceutical companies every day with income over drugs that potentially cause more harm than good over time. So why not get on board with something more natural?
In your article you state that there are only going to be 24 licenses distributed throughout Ohio, I honestly hope this gets distributed to rural communities as well. It is hard for people to travel an hour plus to a larger city to see providers and get prescriptions they cannot get at home.
Is this Gary Coiro the same man now married to Tracey Tiernan?!
These racist bastards. This is a perfect example of how the Democratic machine here oppressed poor people.
There should be a public shaming for every politician and AT&T executive involved in this hideous plot.
Pay close attention to the person that sponsored SB-117 the restrictive legislation, no other than Armond B. Thanks to the Black Pack aka the Black pastors of Cleveland for endorsing this man who by the way has done nothing for the people that pile into your pews dropping their hard earned pennies into your pockets listening to your ignorance and stupidity. You with others are the ones that are keeping your people repressed and dependent. When was the last time any of you even visited, talked with and sat with those in these now called DSL redlined neighborhoods, noting that most of you live so far away in the glitzy burbs you have to pay tolls or use your GPS devices to find the way. How funny sad it is that you then have the gall to stand and complain about the poor progress of the CMSD children because in some cases that don't have adequate access to the Internet. How we forget, your kids have the best and the brightest in the burbs. Shame on all of you that say that Frank and Armond are the best for us.
See ya in hell.
The question is moot. Everyone knows that white men can't jump, blacks are illiterate and don't use computers, and Asians have poor eyesight and can't possibly fly fighter planes.

How many Scene newspaper boxes are in these same neighborhoods?
The seedy ridiculousness actually circles back to one major issue in the State House and City Hall; do the idiots masquerading as public servants actually understand the legislation sitting on their desks. How many examples are needed of lobbyists essentially penning a bill or a cut-and-paste job replacing real research to realize that a screw job is as scripted as that visually impressive flying clothesline in a pro wrestling match -- unfortunately for consumers....their pain is real.
What is this even about? Is this a ramble or just a mishandled title?
I can't recognize the PD as the newspaper I read when I first moved here, almost 20 years ago. There is a crying need for real investigative journalism, and while the Scene does some exemplary pieces, it cannot offer the blanket coverage a daily paper is meant to.
There are other papers in the area -- Call & Post, for one. Or maybe a start up is needed.
I would pay to help support a collection of investigative reporters for NE Ohio, because corruption is killing this area. There are likely thousands more just like me.
So is Muni Lot short for "Municipal Stadium Parking Lot"...or is it merely the "City of Cleveland Municipal Parking Lot?"
Even though I was a Die-hard Cub fan while growing up in Chicago, I watched and listened to both Chicago teams in those years. The White Sox broadcasters would say that the games were live from "Municipal Stadium"...
But by the time I moved here in the early Nineties, and began working for the Tribe, Herb Score and the TV crews and the ace sports scribes at the PD and the B-J all called it "Cleveland Stadium"... the Municipal part had been dropped, and was no longer heard. When did the change happen?
And NOBODY, in either the Sixties or the Nineties, EVER said "Muni"...so that's off the table.

People didn't call it Muni, but it was Cleveland Municipal Stadium. It was owned by the Cleveland Stadium Corp.
Muni is the parking lot along the Shoreway.
Good story, but there's one big flaw ... I worked for the Tribe organization in the Nineties, and nobody EVER called the venue Muni. Don't know where you pulled that one out of, kid, but I can guess. It was already Cleveland Stadium, even back then, and had been for a long time . Years.
Muni is the transit system in the City of San Francisco. Just a little heads-up.

There needs to be excavating work done all over Elyria. Lots of tests need done. The Black River is still toxic from Superfund site 666. Then I have heard so many stories growing up in Elyria of toxic waste being illegally dumped in the old dump, that is covered over with dirt and grass now, right near the Superfund site. Then Aztec chemical used to always blow up over there too. I remember my mini blinds going straight horizontal when it blew up when I was about 11 years old.
This is nothing new, the EPA has been letting Sherwin Williams dump all over our city for years. They have been cited by the EPA numberous times, if you don't believe me just go to the Ohio EPA in twinsburg, ask for every file they have on Sherwin Williams and be prepared to sit there for hours printing out all the information you like, they bill you for the copies but so worth it when you're looking for an injustice. The Ohio EPA did a cleanup in 2016, guess no one knew about it right? The city paid 594,00$ and was under budget they had hundreds of barrels, from Sherwin Williams, and a cubic tons of toxic soil, well cleveland was in no position to pay for the proper disposal of that dirt so it's currently sitting at Garden Valley projects waiting to be used for a 2.3 million$$$ dirt bike park. The proof is at the Ohio EPA in Twinsburg Ohio.
I wonder if scene reads these comments, but they should know that Sherwin Williams has been cited buy the Ohio EPA for having their own toxic waste on 6 of their own locations in cleveland that were not regulated to house them. Sherwin Williams is the largest oil based company in north east Ohio and the only company who would have access to large amounts of drums full of waste, and the only company who benefits from dumping their waste cheap. The Ohio EPA was also sleeping and charged the city of cleveland 594,000$ to clean up 2 toxic sites that cleveland owned on 91st and woodland, It was so bad the US Army provided the trucks to remove that toxic dirt. Cleveland didn't have the funds to dispose of that toxic dirt properly, guess where that toxic dirt is going???? That $2.3 million dirt bike park, the best way to hide something is in plain site.... the evidence I have from the EPA in D.C would shock you!
Scene should do a follow up article on this "a decade later". I wonder what has happened to Me Berger and the other people who were interviewed for this story? I can't believe any of the stores in City View are still operating. I tell my mom all the time to stay away from that place!
Well, this story is 10 years old now. I wonder what has happened to Mr. Berger and others. Scene should do a follow up - "a decade later". Also, why is Giant Eagle and the smaller stores and restaurants still operating there. That whole thing should be shit down.
I drive for Giant eagle and it's very eerie to deliver here, with giant eagle being the only storefront left. Seeing how far the asphalt ainks is very visual based on the tar seals around the buildings. The giant eagle docks have ramps to raise the backs of the trailers up high enough to match the dock plates to unload since it's sunken so much. Interesting article, even though it was written in 2007. I am posting this comment in April if 2017.
who. the hell. cares.
