How about Jethro Tull!
Still no Petula Clark either.
Tears For Fears, please.....
KANSAS. Come on??? Just recently return to top Billboard 200 ....AND Toto too ( on Both counts!)!
Um JOURNEY, DEF LEPPARD, BON JOVI and DEPECHE MODE.
There are so many things wrong here,I'm dumbfounded by these decisions being made about who gets in and who doesn't! IMO...every band or solo artist that was a part of the British invasion should have been inducted before anybody else, besides the likes of Elvis,Buddy Holly,Little Richard, and so on. Take Metallica for example...if not for Black Sabbath, there wouldn't be a Metallica, which I don't think should be in there anyway! I'm finished, this is giving me a headache, which is what happens ever time I start talking about the R+R Hall of Shame!
the Monkees should be in before Joan Jett - I can't believe the Cars arent in yet
The Cars should be in as well.
Little Feat. Duh!
Irony= the Scene not showing Maiden and Priest enough respect to give them their own bullet points when writing abut how the Rock Hall has disrespected them...
47 Years - Grand Funk Railroad - sold out Shea Stadium faster than Beatles AND multi-talented Mark Farner - singer, songwriter, guitarist, organ, harmonica, and drums - GFR and Mark Farner has my vote!!!
How could you forget Harry Nilsson!
......the trifecta of Graham Bond, Chris Farlowe and Alexis Korner. When it comes to all-female rock bands, San Francisco's Ace of Cups set the foundation for others to follow. And they are lost in the dusty pages of rock-n-roll, seemingly due to the band's refusal to ink a recording deal with a major label (though a CD was released nearly 15 years ago with rehearsals, demos and other odds-n-ends).
Yeah you kids at Scene mentioned some VERY good bands...Seriously..
I have never heard N.W.A.'s Rock 'n Roll album....does Cleveland Scene have a link to where I can find it?
Sounds like you all are getting too big and comfortable for your own good
Great musicians. The show is sold though...yes?
I handed an Invite to Tropidelic's party at the Grog shop to a girl who works at the Cleveland Music Supper Club, Thursday night. I than stated out loud to people who work there, "this band can go National, start out in Cleveland, than Toledo, Detroit, Chicago, Indy, St. Louis, and by the time they Hit California their influence and following will grow so big they will make it Nationally, the have found a Niche' with a Funky Hip Hop Reggae Jazz fusion that is high energy, easy to dance to and unique, it will capture your heart!"
