Re: “Ween

just stumbled on to this article. Ween was a fantastic group. If the world heard of them, then they just casted them as a "joke band". But in all reality, they were very serious about their craft. Such a great band

Re: “An Expanded Music Budget has Given Brite Winter Festival Organizers more Clout

brite's site says 4-11. that's how long the outdoor portion went on for. sound curfews and such. yes there were more indoor shows that went on later. could have been described better.

also, some acts aren't worth writing about.

great event overall!

Re: “An Expanded Music Budget has Given Brite Winter Festival Organizers more Clout

I find it interesting the editor of music for Cleveland Scene Magazine can't tell everyone the correct times the festival is. The last band starts playing at 1:15am. Maybe if they weren't busy writing about the same 5 bands, they could have shed some light on another act, or at least gotten the timetables right. Start doing your job right or get out of the business old man.

Re: “He Can't Stop: Bodeans' Frontman Talks About the Band's 30-Year History

As Kurt Neumann puts it "I wish I had a big enough brain to figure it out, but i don’t!" kind of puts it all into perspective. This guy is a moron, and getting rid of Sam was the worst move they could have made as a band. Sure, the 'Bodeans' will always have a few static die hard fans, but none that see this band as "THE BODEANS" anylonger. With Sam Llanas absence, it is no longer the Bodeans. Just a Kurt Neumann solo gig.

Re: “Cleveland Steamers Still Sound Accessible on Sophomore Effort

Another great album from one of Cleveland's finest punk performers, the Steamers. Includes a wild line-up with past Cleveland heroes such as Cheese Borger (PinkHoles, 2-Bob's,) his lovely better half Merideth Rutledge, Nick Summa, and Steve-O. Roll on Big-O.

Re: “Is hipster metal for assholes? Two of our writers discuss

Anyone who could write either of the following has no business discussing metal:

"metal's formative years, the '80s"

"There are no feelings in metal, except murderous rage and assorted anger."
(^Also redundant.)

So I wouldn't take either of their opinions seriously...

Re: “Shady XV: Fifteen Years After Shady Records Launched, Marshall Mathers and Crew Talk Hip-Hop and Lessons Learned

Here's the thing, Cavins- if you disregard quality of idea over a numerical mistake, you're an idiot... and obviously, utilizing the claim of "greatest wordsmith" is operating within the framework of a particular genre. you need to learn how to create implications.
