Are you serious?ARE YOU SERIOUS!!She is a perfect example of NOT judging an ugly, insensitive, desensitized, detached BITCH by it's cover. She's just one of an evil blood line that's so arrogant that they refuse to take any responsibility for the evil little brother that so viciously slaughtered an entire family! You sicken for writing this. You should be fired!
10 friends on a trip to see the Rock and Rock HoF went to eat at the Nauti Mermaid on Monday night (6/23/14). We were lucky to have Tim wait on us. He was great! We had a wonderful experience that was topped off with his cherry/lemon magic trick!!
I am looking for a phone number for this group. I went to the website but it is under construction.
IT'S NOW CLOSED :(
Millie was the best! Tommy keeps it going and everyone is so generous and kind to plant the flowers and make it look so beautiful on the outside as much as Millie was beautiful on the inside...we all miss her....
No need to kick Cleveland while it is down. It is a bit exaggerated to say true leader and valuable contributor when he rambling off everyone else's resume to validate existence. The resume of others looks like the man next to the man/men
Cleveland Hip-Hop went from being great at one time to TOTALLY sucking. Not quite sure what happened. Seems like alot of people in Cleveland are trying to be something they are not. I went to a party in Pittsburgh and it seems like cleveland is trying to copy the Pittsburgh scene. Cleveland can't quite do it right. Knowing what cleveland used to be I would have to give this rating a thumbs down and an absolute misrepresentation of hip-hop.
Every other "best of cleveland" list at least tends to stick to locally owned and operated. This list is sad. Our city is known for having the best food and drink in the country and you're going to give awards to corporate businesses like winking lizard? Half of these winners shouldn't have even been allowed in the running. Take a note from other cleveland best of awards and stick to CLEVELAND ONLY winners. Shame, this is embarrassing for you scene magazine.
His fries are not fresh cut. His staff says the fries are frozen.
Don't get me wrong. His burgers are great. How does a famous chef get away with serving frozen fries? Terrible choice for fries.
Been reading these BEST of CLEVELAND lists for a good 20 years now...and they're getting more laughable and ridiculous every year. If Cleveland is getting better, why are these lists getting worse? It's neither the categories nor the choices...it's the people who ultimately pick them. The readers. Fewer every year, and more willing to select chain mediocrity, in too many categories.
I do realize that the "BEST of" issue is by far the fattest SCENE of the year (as it also is in other cities) and generates huge ad revenues as the venues and eateries and businesses gear up for the all-too-short Cleveland summer season...but maybe it's time to finally pull the plug. Some of the winners made me cringe. Les Roberts? Crocker Park? Rover? Townhall? Seriously? This is the "best" we've got? I don't think so!
And you're a print rag, right? Why the need for any web and social media categories at all? Why pander to the people who no longer read?
Maybe just blow this whole concept off, after all these years, and put out a bigger Guide to Cleveland or a bigger Summer Guide...or just stop letting the readers vote with their posterior orifices? The fans ruined the MLB All-Star balloting, and it was denied to them for many years. Maybe you need to do the same.
Expecting even less in 2015,
Chuckles the Clown
How in the hell did that house music head wrap poet party win bet hip-hop night club? C'mon Cleveland I know we aren't that stupid. There isn't real hip-hop night going on in cleveland.
A few Sanctuary Cleveland National Acts:
Rich Medina - April 5, 2014 (Probably the world's most widely sought after DJ aside from DJ Spinna) And by the way ... DJ Spinna appears at Sanctuary Cleveland on August 3, 2014.
NYC I Love Vinyl Crew - November 15, 2013 (a world famous DJ crew which includes Ge-Ology if you've ever heard music from Mos Def and Talib Kweli, you know who this is).
J. Rawls, October 5, 2013 (If you've ever heard music from Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Lone Catalysts, or pretty much anything on Rawkus Records, you know who this is).
Daz-I-Kue - August 3, 2013 (London DJ, founder of Bugz in the Attic)
Omar - July 14, 2013 (I know you know who this is, I won't even insult you).
Erik Rico - March 2, 2013 (if you've heard music from Tupac, Q-tip, Digable Planets, you should know him).
Just to name a few ...
Touch being the best hip-hop club is about as phony Colin Powell saying Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. I guess I can see why they would win when the bar in Cleveland is so low all you would have to do is put on a Run DMC record and you could potentially win. As for national acts...who are they and when were they there? Anyone from out of town can be considered national I guess. Hey chipper call in DJ WMD from sandusky and we will have a national act
Daniel is a true leader and a valuable contributor to the Cleveland art and music scene.
This is GOOD for Cleveland.
I believe that they have.....
It makes me sad when others find a way to punish communities with diversity. Is it fair to test all children with the same test- including children who just came to this country a few months ago?
No mames ese ni paisa tiene el nombre menos la comida.
At least we can all rest easy knowing that the permit to close down the shoreway cost a massive $20. #worthit
