Re: “Day of Protests Ends with Questions for Police Chief and Mayor

I would like to know how the 12 year old acquired the gun? And, who knew that he had it? Where was the adult supervision? This is a terrible accident.

It is not an accident, it is a blessing of liberty that innocent home and business owners have the 2nd amendment right to defend themselves.

Re: “Day of Protests Ends with Questions for Police Chief and Mayor

I bet Chris Quinn has his cock out over at the PD and is lubing it up waiting for all the web clicks he's going to get tomorrow afternoon when the cops release that video. I'm sure he'll shut his door and dial up the realtime stats. Oh....baby....oh...pleeeease....look at all those clicks....splat!

Re: “Day of Protests Ends with Questions for Police Chief and Mayor

How many innocent children and innocent police must die before the American public wises up and realizes that all of this is just part of the price that goes hand-in-hand with any society that permits guns. Thanks NRA for all you have done to promote the type of society that puts more value on guns than it does the lives of it children.

Sam Allard is one stupid fucker, so it would make perfect sense to send his most immature ass to cover this. Good job, Scene.

Maybe when the protests spread to the East Side, this joint will be trashed and looted and destroyed. One can only hope.

Go get 'em, peeps! Here's your target for tonight!

Eat it all up and throw the rest in the street, then kick the shit out of the place!

Just do it!

Re: “Cleveland Animal Protective League is Offering Up Kittens and Cats For $5 Today and Tomorrow

There are other options. Other rescue outfits and no-kill shelters like "Tails From The Kitty"...great San Francisco pun, huh? It can be found on Yelp, and there's a phone number to call for more info.

They take three-legged and even two-legged felines, so a four-legged frozen cat would probably not be turned away.

APL wanted you to pay to GIVE...not TAKE, but GIVE...a kitty? What the flood?

Re: “Accounts of Tamir Rice's Life and Final Moments Circulating in Days Following His Death

So instead of helping/ staying with the child they just shot, or call 911, they slammed his siblings on the ground for being upset. Cops exerting force on children, to show how "manly" they are? Is this why they won't release the video? This is not going to stand.

Re: “Group Will Protest Cleveland Police Killings on Public Square Monday Afternoon

If Tanesha Anderson had a history of mental illness with violent behavior, why was she not in an institution where she could have been cared for properly? too many people want to get that SSI check for $700 bucks each month, but they don't want to ensure the person they are paid to take care of is taking their medications properly, or to ensure they are not a danger to others. They get the check, it is their responsibility. Why do the police have to step in when they do not do what they are suppose to? and if they cannot handle that person, that person should be placed where they will not be a danger to themselves or others. Furthermore, why is it is always someone else's fault when things go wrong? and where were the parents of this 12 year old boy, while he was taking the safety cap off a toy gun and roaming around the city waving it and pointing it at people? It is their responsibility to safe guard their children, to teach them right from wrong, and to education them on the dangers of doing things like that. Sorry but stop passing the buck and using peoples poor judgments and poor parenting skills as a catch all excuse to be angry at the world, if your life is that bad that you have to be angry at the world, change your life, stop trying to blame the whole world.

Re: “Accounts of Tamir Rice's Life and Final Moments Circulating in Days Following His Death

@Edward Vullo: Thanks, I'm with you then.

Taking Gavin Coe 100% at face value, there MAY (I am not a policeman so I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong) be a difference between the way police respond to a report that says, "A suspicious person knocked at my door, and I'm worried that he was checking out my house to rob it," and a report that says, "There's someone in my neighborhood who is high and trying to break into multiple people's houses."

Note that in Gavin Coe's example he says the police said he was trying to rob people. If that was the report, then it was given added drama by the caller, if all that happened was that he was asking to call his dad.

Re: “Accounts of Tamir Rice's Life and Final Moments Circulating in Days Following His Death

@ chair: That all goes without saying. My comment is based on the presumption that the citizen was just trying to a good citizen and report what he thought was legitimate suspicious activity, with no mention of embellishment of any report.

Thank you Michael for mentioning Banter. This will be my son Matt's place. He helped change Ohio City with all the restaurants he had a hand in opening up there. Now this is his adventure. He talks highly of you and maybe our paths will meet there sometime. I enjoy the Chew and you all did a fantastic job for Thanksgiving.

Re: “Accounts of Tamir Rice's Life and Final Moments Circulating in Days Following His Death

@Edward Vullo, the resident would not have been a good citizen if that resident lied in a way that caused the police to respond with excessive force.

Does a "good" citizen have an obligation to give as accurate a report as possible to the police rather than embellishing the report with details that are questionable or outright false?

Re: “Accounts of Tamir Rice's Life and Final Moments Circulating in Days Following His Death

@Gavin Coe: That was an unfortunate and traumatic incident for you, but what if, in fact, the eyewitness was correct and you were, in fact, casing houses to burglarize? The resident would have been a good citizen and the police would have been credited with doing their job.

Re: “What a 50-Topping Order Looks Like to the Chef at Happy Dog

@ Bob: If the article is accurate in that "the mischievous youngster was given free rein by her parents", and if the parents were aware that she selected every available topping before she handed it in to the server, and that she couldn't possibly eat the whole thing as served, I would regard that as wasteful and irresponsible, and I would regard the parents as overly permissive. If she took the leftover home and finished it later, no problem.

Then they drove away shouting at bike riders to obey the law.

Cars drivers are ok with killing 27 pedestrians a day as long as it takes 5 seconds off their commute.

Re: “Police Report: Johnny Manziel Involved In Massive Fight Late Friday Night at The 9 in Downtown Cleveland

Less and less of a prospect, more and more of a pissant.
So far, he's proven to be nothing more than a punk. Professional? Not so much.
So he needs to be punted the hell out of here and sent packing.

Johnny Fool, you've used up at least 12 or 13 of your fifteen minutes. Bye!
