Is BBQ becoming the next big food craze?

Re: “Why Does Every Cleveland Sports Slogan Have to Be So Jesus-y?

I never noticed this trend in Cleveland sports slogans, it's definitely interesting. I came across some really good sports team slogans that don't come with a side of Jesus, if that's what you're looking for. Check them out: Best Sports Team Slogans

Re: “Op-Ed: "Cleveland - We Can Do Better"

This is very buzzwordy. Which specific bridge is the symbol of division? Why is this focused on the alleged compartmentalization of neighborhoods (a very typical trait of large American cities) and not on fixing poverty, housing, policing, and infant mortality?

And please don't refer to Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign as "short-lived" ever again.

Re: “Disabled Veteran is Suing Cleveland Over City's Anti-Panhandling Laws

Just throwing this out there...wouldn't the Firemen with their boots for MS violate the "panhandling" law?

Re: “Disabled Veteran is Suing Cleveland Over City's Anti-Panhandling Laws

@Rd: We stigmatize racist speech, greed, and being an asshole, but none of those things are outlawed because doing so would violate certain fundamental American principles. This is the same.

Re: “In the Fight to Outlaw Marital Rape Exemptions, Ohio Republicans Go Silent

Where are the tough guys now? The law and order maniacs who knee-jerk support every other "get tough on crime" bill.

This is a no-brainer. Get this passed, state legislators.

Re: “'If We Lose the EPA, We Lose Lake Erie,' Great Lakes Scientist Says

Why are Americans such anti-intellectuals that they will sit by watching clean water be poisoned, doing nothing?

What will a home or a business in NEO be worth, if we don't protect the water? How could we possibly do that without an EPA? Hope Canada starts to fight us?

I do not understand this phenom of supporting racists and attacking science. This is "Idiocracy" come to life.

Re: “Culture of Rampant Sexism, Wild Parties Revealed at Akron-Based Sterling Jewelers

I am flabbergasted to discover there are still companies around that think it is 1917, not 2017.

Without female customers, these companies would not exist, but yet they show their female employees such contempt.

Disgusting.

Re: “Disabled Veteran is Suing Cleveland Over City's Anti-Panhandling Laws

This is not about anyone's feelings. This is about the city using its cops as thugs, to force homeless people to stay away. It is a brutal, ugly response to the extreme suffering of some of our residents.

I hope it is also the case that the ACLU will assist this gentleman to find a housing situation that will be permanent.

We have all this vacant housing. Why can't the city create sweat equity programs so that homeless can find stable, secure housing?

Re: “In the Push to Carve Up Northeast Ohio With Natural Gas Pipelines, Property Owners Are Winning So Far, But the Fight's Not Over

When lobbyists armed with cash order career politicians to shred up individual property rights -- the state house goofs eagerly fondle the "campaign contributions" and suddenly have amnesia surrounding the protection of citizens in their districts.

Re: “Disabled Veteran is Suing Cleveland Over City's Anti-Panhandling Laws

People that want everything offensive to not be stigmatized are nuts. There's a stigma because you're behaving in a way people don't like, and that is offensive and frightening in some cases. If you feel being a panhandler has a stigma, then learn from it. It's a message to you. Don't be so proud of your situation. Accept your stigma and try to do concrete things to remove it.

Re: “Newburgh Heights Issues 300 Speeding Tickets a Week Via Hand-Held Device

When the minimum ticket price is $150, and the max is $300....you can't convince many people that this is NOT a cash crab. We weren't born yesterday, and I would argue that it's a CRIME to charge citizens such astronomical prices for a speeding ticket. It's one thing if you were over the limit, it's another to be price gouged to excess. It's immoral, and unconstitutional.

A lot of these icemen don't even know how to pronounce their own product.
Too many of them still call it "JOO-ler-ee"...

Re: “'If We Lose the EPA, We Lose Lake Erie,' Great Lakes Scientist Says

Less ice cover? Better learn to like more snow. Eight of the twelve all-time snowiest Cleveland winters have occurred in the last 25 years, and you can look it up.

Milder winters mean less ice cover. Less ice cover means a lot more lake-effect snow when those cold outbreaks invade the Great Lakes. We've been lucky the last two winters because there haven't been many big chills. But remember the winters before those? Lots of cold and tons of snow.

Something's definitely happening here...we hardly ever see sub-zero temps anymore. When I was young, I had to walk through knee-deep snow and sub-zero cold to buy my weed. Uphill. Both ways.

Re: “Is Waiting In Line for a Paczki Today Worth It?

Raspberry and apricot are the best, but not worth the hassle of waiting like sheeple..
As a rule, I avoid lines when at all possible. Especially for food.
My wife brought some home yesterday from the Jint Iggle. No muss, no fuss.
We've snarfed them down already. All gone. Yum!

Uh really? It was so much fun! Music, food, socialization(you know, the thing people did face to face before we had cell phones). Great time Rudy's was a blast. Those workers were friendly and working hard!

The lake has been here long before the amount of pollution out there existed. We dumped too much too fast into the atmosphere.
