The show was amazing! Doris sounded better than ever and her band was top notch. A great time was had by all. The joint was packed! Can't wait til she plays Nighttown again.

Re: “Rita Coolidge (Benefit for Cedar Fairmount Business District)

Never in a million years would I have dreamed that I would have the chance to see the fabulous Rita Coolidge up close and personal in this intimate night club setting. There were six of us in attendance and Rita and her band are better than ever. She warmed us up with some beautiful ballads:"We're all Alone", she rocked us with:"The way you do the things you do", and she got down to business with:"You ought to be with me." Rita and her drummer sang a delightful duet: Baby, it's cold outside" and Rita performed the James Bond theme song: "All Time High" to honor the James Bond film series 50th Anniversary. Rita touched our heart and souls with her beautiful rendition of the Cherokee national Anthem, sung in the Cherokee language. This was truly a treat to see & hear the "Delta Lady" in this wonderful setting at Nighttown!

Re: “Magic Slim & the Teardrops/Alexander Ponomarenko/The Cool Shade Blue

The show was awful. Alex Potamusrenko was obviously a little boozed up, along with baby bro Peter InToxIcated. I mean, what a joke !! Would NEVER see this band again. Don't know why a classy place like Wilberts would book these knuckleheads. Please, get better talent.

Re: “Lionize/Riptide/Gato's Gullah Gumbo

Gato's Gullah Gumbo is a very good local Roots/Reggae band that you'll be hearing more and more of. Former WCSB DJ, Ras Gato, keeps his love of world music alive through this new local collective! Well worth the ticket!

Re: “The Speedbumps and the Canton Symphony Orchestra

This was an incredible concert performed to a packed house. The music of the Speedbumps was perfectly backed up by the CSO, with beautiful orchestral arrangements written by the band's bassist Kevin Martinez. Not only did this event exceed all expectations - I believe it set a new standard for making classical music (and adaptations) more relevant to the next generation of music lovers.

Re: “Magic Slim & the Teardrops/Alexander Ponomarenko/The Cool Shade Blue

this show was great! The Cool Shade Blue was really awesome, great stuff, not the same ole, same ole. Lot's of energy and talent, Alex's original set showcased his talent and the band's, sax player Rob Williams blew it away!!

Re: “Silversun Pickups/Cage the Elephant

Amazing show, all round, needless to say. This show was an opener for eyes and ears alike. The pronouced genre gave only those curious to, the multitude of what a underated generation had felt, a field in which to play in. These band neither have been underscored but felt in a stream of hearts. To whom which all an era should, if not even, give a thumbs up!
