Six Flags may not have helped but it was Cedar Fair that shut the park down. Cedar Fair owns the land and it's their responsibly to clean up the park that they closed. We can't keep letting these companies abandon stuff and walk away. They are the ones that wanted to buy it to shut down competition so now it's theirs to clean up.
Not one of the 15 things to do list is on Labor Day weekend,,, pretty lame!
Is this on East 8th?
Showed up to Rocky River Wine Bar with out small dog ... also turned away.
Yelp and The Scene are actually doing more harm to RRWB's reputation since people are showing up expecting "dog friendly" and getting a not-at-all friendly reception.
Fuck you about Green Day being the most overrated band. They are one of the best bands of all time
Sure six flags didn't do the park any justice but it was cedar fair that was the owner at the time of the closure. It was their responsibility to turn things around. Why would they put any effort into the park seeing is how closing it would force Cleveland crowds to its cedar point facility. Its cheaper for them to run 1 park less overhead and liability. Im sure their thought process was why keep both parks open with marginal crowds when you can make tons of profits with large crowds at cedar point. Its a crying shame that the park went under. There were many folks in ohio that drove hours away to cherish and enjoy everything they had to offer. Now these same people are forced to go to kennywood in Pittsburgh. I like kennywood however it just never compared to everything geagua had to offer.
The demise of an enterprise!
Noodle, I think you're confused lmfao
Oh and i forgot to mention, BEETJAR! over on w29th. the best cashew mylk ever
Anna on the Raw in the AMG building on E. 9th. Somebody already mentioned Pure and Supreme! and Root's raw food night!
'"Bittersweet Symphony" was this band's best song'... No it wasn't! Bittersweet Symphony was 'this' bands most commercial song. Richard Ashcroft will go down as one of the most underrated writers of his generation. If you plan to write an article like this it might be best to listen to the artist's you're condemning.
You don't understand what overrated means. You obviously just think it means popular
Really wish they would build another Amusement Park. Closer to Cleveland, Ohio. Children of this generation need to be able to experience the fun of going to a park like Geauga Lake. This makes me so sad to see that there is only one close to Cleveland. And that is Cedar Point. What jobs they could create for college kids looking for summer work. So sad.
I totally agree. The record company hype has caught a lot of dumb people. Your list shows many of the contrived rubbish bands, over-rated over-hyped crap. You get pretentious art snobs, and you get deluded music buffs. Anyone who disagrees with this list is definitely a deluded music buff.
This is so sad- Bring Mellett Mall back, Bring back the jobs. I grew up going there when Montgomery Wards was the place to go an Ben Franklin. The Mellett Mall was a place to meet friend go to movies an shopping. I don't go to BV. All Malls have there episodes the thift the fights. Alot of people don't go to BV to far an. Always crowded People Miss going to Mellett Mall. Give people jobs to go to.
Scott Sandberg is, by far, your absolute BEST concert photographer!!!! Amazing photos!!
I'm with you on Green Day, Coldplay, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. To say that Pearl Jam is overrated? That's outright blasphemy.
I have to agree with the Grateful Dead choice.....they were so mediocre.
Piffle's in Parma (which used to be Fergie's) has closed. I'm so sad. They had my favorite gyros.
Can anyone who remembers a Fergie's gyro recommend the best place to get one just like it?
Patti Smith, Oasis, Nickel Creek.and Joe Strummer.
