Best live jazz calendar and dining atmosphere
It's back open
Can you wear a polo and jeans their on Friday and Saturday
I am transplant to this area from South Jersey. The rolls and meat are the closest you will get to the city here. The sandwiches had a good amount of meat. The manager was friendly. Wish they offered a cheesesteak hoagie or chicken cheesesteak hoagie like back home. I did recoil in horror when my husband put mayo on his sandwhich but I guess they have to do that for the uninitiated. Now if only they could open a Philly Soft Pretzel Factory next door.
Great Theater, Nice small intimate seating. Excellent Actors. The building is incredible.

We were there for Super Bowl. What a fun place! Their main screen is HUGE and they have plenty of other TVs. Sports Bar with good food, but the Bartender said they have bands and DJ/Dancing on the weekends too!
This place used to be great, but like most restaurants has gone down hill. Chicken pad thai was totally dyed red. I believe this is a way to hide low quality chicken. There was no cilantro and the chicken portion added up to a fraction of an ounce for both of our dinners. The flavor was bland. My girlfriend hardly ate any of her meal. The waiter, who claimed to be the owner, asked if we want a box for her remaining slop and I said she does not like it. We were then charged full price. I asked the owner for a refund and I was given three dollars, not even half the cost of her meal. Do not waste your time on food that is not fit for animals. I have been a customer since the early nineties and will never go back. I received this awful food and service January 30th 2014 at approximately 4:00 pm. We can make better pad thai at home and I have had better in the area.
Yeah, this place STILL has the best taco tuesdays in town. Nothing better than putting away 13 tacos and drinking a giant thing of beer for less than $20. The tacos are really good too, with a bunch of different flavors. We're not talking taco bell style meat either.
I have eaten at Anatolia Cafe before and have always been a fan of their food. But last night we had a party in their party room off of the bar area and the service provided by the staff takes this Cleveland Heights favorite to a whole new level!
It was news to me that they even had a party room at the restaurant but I am very glad we decided to throw our affair here. The food was served family style at the management's suggestion and a good one it was. This type of service caused all of our guest to interact in a much more friendly and fun manner than had we simply been serviced each our own dinner. On top of that, the fixed price per person menu did not prevent the restaurant to serve more and more food until everyone was completely satisfied.
I cannot thank the staff at Anatolia Cafe enough for the wonderful evening and for the phone calls we received the next morning from our guest telling us how much they enjoyed the party!!!!!
Strong, good margaritas. The chips were nice and salty but we could have used more salsa. I enjoyed the carnitas and didn't even put the meat in the flour tortillas provided. I enjoy this type of Mexcian cooking - a little more fresh and authentic. My husband and father in law who are used to gigantic crappy combo platters - not so much.
Hope they change the menu and reopen the market
Our family visited for dinner last night.
What a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff.
Management has changed but the best from the old restaurant has remained.
The authentic Mexican food is still the BEST in TOWN.
Excellent Service, huge portions, fantastic margaritas. There will soon be long lines to get in this place as the new Mi Casita Restaurant catches on in Cleveland!
I've been a fan of Neapolitan-style pies for a few years now. I've put away many at Chicago's Spacca Napoli and Coalfire, two places known for being masters of the craft. Vero deserves to be mentioned in the same breath.
San Marzano tomato sauce? Check.
Mozzarella di Bufla? Check.
Gorgeous leopard spotting on the crust? Check.
Locally sourced ingredients? Check.
Better yet, there are no TVs to compete for your attention. It's just you, the pie, and your dining companions. If you think you think Cleveland had good pizza already, this place will be a revelation. If you think Cleveland can't compete with shops in Chicago, New York or San Francisco, prepare to be proven wrong.
I went there a few weeks ago for a friends birthday and all I can say is SCAM!!!!! The guys claimed they were filming a 'reality tv pilot' when all we saw was one guy walking around with what looked like a digital camera from walmart taping some half naked little boys running around in halloween costumes.
And if you want to get raped/mugged/shot downtown, then your best chance is to go to 620. Then I talk to my friend who knows a dancer and said the one on the right went to jail for beating up his girlfriend!!! Seriously!?? And you expect to let these guys jump around on us girls??
We wil NEVER be back! Thanks for nothing Iron Men!
Gargano's is as unprofessional as they come. They were to cater a retirement party for 60 people this evening. Not only did they not show, but when we phoned them to ask where they were, they told us they had no record of the order. After trying to reach the owner for over a half hour we were forced to relocate the party and spend more money because of the last minute arrangement. The owner never returned our call and he took the order personally. No one should do business with Frank or Gargano.
Happened to read the comment above about "walkin' into the kitchens at both the Chagrin and Solon locations"
Just how does one go into the kitchens of a - not one no less, but TWO restaurants???
Wha 'da you do for a living?
While I have no experience eating at any of the Burntwood restaurants and can't speak to their level of cleanliness, or anything for that matter, however you sound like a disgruntled former employee or a competitor to me...
Walked into the kitchen at the Chagrin and Solon locations and they are GROSS! Dust and dirt everywhere, floors that felt like they have not been cleaned in months and chemicals close to where food is served and platted. YIKES - stay away from this place!
The GM - Ian is RUDE and not helpful when our party had an issue. Would NEVER got back to this place!
We love this place - food is VERY good, service has always been great - and we find drinks Very reasonable - especially during 11:30 am to 7PM happy hour.
There are people that complain - they come on ONLY on a Friday and Saturday for the AYCE crab legs (which are the cheapest around - and VERY good) - they complain when the service is not what they would get a an expensive restaurant. Hey people, this is a bar that just happens to serve good food and drinks reasonable....get over it!
