Liat was good but yes list missed Chinato, Valerios and Luca. Forget Luigis.
Oggi Ristorante in Broadview Heights is SOOO good
steve's gyros... best in any universal dimension
I somewhat resent the fact that many of these "vintage" photos were taken in the 60's and 70's. (Partly because that makes ME vintage!!) I was really hoping to see more of the 1910-1925 era when Little Italy was developing and more colorful.
November 12, 1995 Bjork was at the Agora.. not the Odeon.. Scene is stupid.. as usual.
One of my fondest memories of Little Italy is driving up Mayfield early one morning in the late 70's and seeing that Corbo's front windows had been sprayed with bullets. Ah, the good old days.
As far as Higbee's goes, a casino is better than being demolished :(
As the photos show, Little Italy was Lilly White back in the day. If a black man walked through that place early last century, he was taking his life in his hands.
Superior Deli, my fav!
My friends, lol Pancakes fried on the same grill as onions... No amount of syrup can hide the taste and the manager yelling at people telling them which restroom to use...
Wow, you guys are really lazy. Looks like some of these photos were snagged from Google Maps. You need to check for typos too. Sloppy work.
This post shows some pretty clear biases. Whoever wrote this appears to only be able to distinguish European Ethnic groups, but not for Asian. As you know, all Asians eat the same food. Additionally, India is a part of Asia too.
That's me in the first picture! I'm famous on the internet ^_^
The Eagles (Whole career)
Guns N Roses (post appetite)
Pearl Jam (Post VS)
I know I am being a dick but I get tired of people talking about these like they are the best of the best when TOOL, Rush & Iron Maiden get flack for being weird or too far off radar
YEAH they lost me at The Police and I stopped reading after Red Hot Chili Peppers.....To even try to include Arcade Fire, Muse & Sigur Ros with pioneers like the Police and RHCP is simply moronic.
What, no pictures of the "Keep Talking" story tellers at the same event?
The Browns didn't make the list? They must of been #10.
Fantastic history photos.
I don't mean to be nit-picky, but I believe the caption on the last one should be horse drawn sleigh, not horse drawn carriage.
Oh, and don't forget about the Sweet Cashew Creme from Red Lotus Foods! Eat it by the spoonful! Sweetened with dates and Ohio maple syrup.
