Urmson & the Young Turks are typically full of hot air on this.
This was the best show I've seen in Cleveland in a long time. The music was outstanding and matched the wonderful food served. The master trumpet player Kamal Abdul Alim was very nice and entertaining to me and other family members as we celebrated our father's birthday. To this day he let's us know how great it was to be at the Nighttown because he is a Miles Davis fan and felt Kamal fit the bill. We purchased a CD of Kamal's music and Dad plays it all the time.
Once again, Sloan Rocked It at the Grog Shop! Its a shame that this band is mostly unknown south of the border. The talent of each one of the members is off the shelve. Patrick blew out his high hat and kept on going the rest of the night not missing a beat. This guy is a animal on the skins! Each member of the band is a huge talent and are true professionals. They are true musician musicians. I just wish i would have been turned on to them years ago, but am enjoying all the great music they have produced over the last 20 years now!
OK first of all they are not reuniting. Unfortunately they never broke up. I saw them play in March, and they were gay. Just like they've always been. Notice I'm reviewing the event now. A day before it happens. Just to let you know how suck I know it will be. They sing with English accents, so maybe they should move there, and go away forever.
ill be there
A fantastic production! I was thoroughly impressed by the quality. Having seen both the production on Broadway and tour I was astonished by what your Northwest able to do. The acting and singing was in many cases was superior to the show's Broadway and touring counterparts. I am sure this production will be talked about for many years to come! It's one not to be missed.
*UPDATE!* Hallofest has been changed to November 1st and will be held at Bank Nightclub due to capacity issues.
looking forward to this opening...looks like fun for all ages... art, music, food, and a costume party with prizes, as well as interactive SILENCE IS GOLDEN ROOM where participants can wave to a gold fish...
I always wanted a living room with one whole wall as an aquarium. So relaxing, a perfect room to relax in after a hard day!
this is going to be awesome! Tess is world renowned!
My girlfriend and myself can really use a nice night out together. She deserves it more than anything. I've been to busy to be able to show her how much a of an amazing person she is..!!!! Would be nice to give her something she deserves...

This is the kind of thing that makes Cleveland Great. I have been saying for years that Cleveland will be the turnaround city of the century but like the legendary frog on the hotplate, no one is really noticing the paved streets, the new schools and the new look to Edgewater park etcetera. But if you look this year Cleveland has fallen off of many list it used to dominate such as highest crime, lowest jobs, lowest housing cost, highest unhappy population on and on. The city is here, now doing great things which also coincide with hopeful sports teams. These events are great things Mr.Jackson but I ask you to start investing in your Police and fire departments. We all know you despise the cost of these divisions but any MBA knows there is efficiency and than there is cutting to the bone. People are dying every day because you have cut the safety forces. When is enough enough?
Music was great by both Keb Mo and G Love, but it had to be the shortest concert I ever saw! Keb Mo came on first with a nice, but very short set. G Love was up next and had a lot of people dancing. But again it was a super short set. No encores. The whole show for the two groups,(Including the break time between acts for set changes) was about an hour and a half. Really expected more for the $45 a ticket we spent I guess.
Most people left grumbling after the show, though a small crowd gathered by the box office complaining. The Rocksino finally offered free tickets to any upcoming show that wasn't sold out.
