In the late 1880s, Cleveland was one of the great American cities. Much like New York’s social elite, its wealthy residents lived in high style. The lives of these high society residents included extravagant entertainment and elaborate social engagements, all of which carried the expectation of impeccable style. The historic garments and accessories that provide a window into the world of privileged Cleveland are on display in the newest exhibit at the WRHS History Center: In Grand Style. Free with admission. $10 adults, $5 children 3-12, Free for WRHS members and children under 2.http://www.wrhs.org/explore/exhibits/in-grand-style/
