It's home to many of the professional events in the Greater Cleveland area. It's perhaps the most challenging course in the area.

The 23-story building was the first major project in Cleveland to use metric measurement throughout the construction process. The entire 55,000-ton weight of the building rests on a seven-foot-thick concrete mat that required a pour of more than 1,000 truckloads of cement. Groundbreaking was on May 28, 1997, making it the first federal courthouse to be built in Cleveland in 88 years. It opened for business in 1999.
Carlisle is the largest of the Lorain County Metro Parks, encompassing 1,820 acres, with the Forest Hills Golf Course at the northeastern end. Carlisle also offers a large variety of events and activities throughout the year and is home to the administrative offices of the entire park system.

In the late 1970s, the Summit County Metro Parks developed a plan to transform 1,500 acres of land in the Cuyahoga River and Little Cuyahoga River valleys near downtown Akron into a unique urban park called Cascade Valley.
