The ruggedly beautiful reserve is home to about 240 species of native plants, including ferns, wildflowers, trees, and shrubs growing in the gravelly soil of the park. Visitors are asked to take only pictures and to leave the plants, flowers, and other natural features of the reserve for others to enjoy.
The year-round waterpark resort features a 100,000-gallon wave pool, an 80,000-gallon activity pool, a children's play pool, a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket, 12 water slides, a 6,000-square-foot arcade, snack bar, and a TGIF's restaurant.
The amusement park features Top Thrill Dragster, a 420-foot-tall, 120-mile-per-hour roller coaster, billed as the tallest and fastest roller coaster ever built. The park has been voted several times as the "World's Best Amusement Park," with its causeway and frontier park of 68 rides, including 16 roller coasters.
