“This project increases our ability to blast advertisements in our customers' faces."
Not sure what was wrong with the old scoreboard. The manual scoreboards at Fenway Park work fine. "The fan experience" there is "enhanced" by a ballclub that actually competes for World Series titles.
Any word on what percent of this scoreboard is being paid for with tax money?
PH8059: Yes E4th street is jammed every day but "vibrant and successful" should also mean "diverse." That there's such little competition for restaurant ownership on such a highly trafficked street looks like another glaring symptom of an economy where the gap between the haves and have-nots continues to widen and deepen to an historic extent.
One might think that such a "vibrant and successful entertainment district" would be able to sustain more diverse development than this.
Hey Joni, why shouldn't we take that few extra cents on your beer and use it to fix the schools, the roads, or help 50% of the city's children who are living in poverty, or fix the City's third world infant mortality rate, or do anything else with it but give it to three billionaires who don't need it?
I'd bet dollars to donuts that "Joni"'s IP address traces back to one of the three teams or R Strategy Group. Any takers?
"What a surprise though, that millionaire athletes didn't enjoy being forced to work hard during training camps and practices and will complain about the coach that makes them do so."
Not so much the millionaire athletes as it is the thousandaire athletes who got cut after two weeks and have old college buddies in the publishing industry who help them get pieces like this published. Ask Kris Jenkins, Thomas Jones, Damien Woody, Josh Cribbs, Sheldon Brown or any of a number of longtime NFL veterans what they think about Mangini. The story is night and day.
Correction: Only one of the Browns' 2010 opponents beat them by more than 10 points, the Steelers (who went to the Super Bowl that season) did it twice, once in Chips McCoy's first career start, and once in the season finale, by which point Mangini had effectively been fired.
