One of the major problems that I see is that our primary theater-sized venue (the House of Blues) sucks. It's horribly put together with low ceilings, poor sight lines, and terrible security. Bands that need a venue of that size realize that Cleveland doesn't have a great option. The Agora is primarily booking metal shows. The Odeon and the Beachland Ballroom are too small for shows that size. The Masonic Auditorium is getting some recognition, but it's still an unknown quantity for many fans. So they're left with the House of Blues, which is a terrible venue for fans to see a show at. So fewer fans get out to see shows there.
Honestly it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. But it's a stupid article to begin with.
Jack Frost Donuts
It would be pretty simple to stop making hats and jerseys with Chief Wahoo and to remove the logo from the ballpark. No reason not to. Don't have to make a big deal about it, just phase it out once and for all.
Decent article, but you might want to proofread your stuff. Glad you enjoyed yourself though.
Skip Elephant Revival at Dark Star Jubilee? Are you crazy? This band just played an amazing Beachland set, they kept the crowd completely enraptured during their 2-set performance at the Stan Hewitt Gardens in Akron, and they are completely unique and amazing. The lineup is pretty stacked, no doubt, but I am yet to hear of anyone going to see Elephant Revival and coming away unhappy. Plus, just like All Good, there are no conflicts, so there's no reason to skip this amazing band.
Yeast? This is an argument about freakin' yeast? You can avoid eating animal products, but yeast is a fungus. Why would a vegan have a problem with yeast?
