This is one of the most telling articles that I have read in quite some time. I am 63 years old and remember my Father taking me to Karamu as a young child. It is my hope that the community will not allow the ego of Ashe to continue to ruin the rich history of this fine establishment. As a community we need to rally behind Spivey and ensure that the properly skilled leadership is at the helm. The board needs to enforce the abilities they have to make this happen. Are we going to stand by and allow this to continue. I agree with a previous writer who stated that without Spivey and his leadership; Karamu is just a daycare with a bank machine. How sad would that be. DKN
