Mr. "Czar" I am an ex-employee of Romeo's Pizza & having worked for 2 of the 3 different owners & knowing Bob, I'd like to set the record straight for the public so they know the TRUE Romeo's Pizza story, because your information frankly, is wrong. Around 1996 (I think) a nice guy named Bob Normile bought a troubled pizza business called "JW's Pizza" on the corner of Fenn & Pearl; he then closed that company & founded "Romeo's Pizza & Pasta". A few years later he sold the business to a couple of nice guys named Chris & Rich who owned & ran it as "Romeo's Pizza & Pasta" & did well. Then in 2001 they decided to sell the business to Sean Brauser. When Sean bought the business, he decided to close "Romeo's Pizza & Pasta" wanting to focus more on pizza so he founded a new company simply called "Romeo's Pizza". Then with a redesigned logo (based on the original), new & improved dough & sauce recipes and many new TOP OF THE LINE ingredients like the new pepperoni for the existing Butcher Shop, Sean felt he had "A HIT" so he starting going to competitions & his new Butcher Shop won "Best Pizza in the Mid West" in 2002! Then in 2004 Romeo's Pizza's new Butcher shop won "Best Pizza in the Mid West" again!, "Best Pizza in Medina County" & Sean's new "Great Ranch & Potato" pizza won "Best Gourmet Pizza in the United States" in New York city!
The list of awards this company has won since Sean bought it changed the name, logo, menu focus, ingredients & joined forces with his partner Jeremy Galvin is amazing but too much to type here so go to their website if you want to read it all.
But at least now you all have the TRUE story.
