Re: “The Soul of Super Pimp

We used to say that guys like this were "characters". Cleveland needs more characters like SP.

Re: “Marriage Equality Proponents to Gather at Free Stamp Tomorrow

What seems so odd is these gay "rights" demonstrators never seem to be also supporting polygamy. Why the hang up on monogamy?

Re: “James Box, City of Cleveland Employee, Again Accused of Alleged Inappropriate Sexual Conduct (Updated)

The question to ask is:

What process do WE expect our elected officials to follow to thoroughly investigate the background of OUR employees prior to hiring them.

If we do not mind having ex felons, rapists and other less than upstanding citizens on the public payroll then we should continue business as usual.

I believe there are many Cleveland citizens who see nothing wrong with hiring felons. You will hear: "They are simply misunderstood"... "If only they would be given a "chance" they will change." "It is all politics." Meanwhile decent honest citizens can't get a city job. And decent people move to places where it is expected that ALL citizens obey the law.

Re: “Occupy Some &%*#@ Manners

The fact that the "occupy" citizens (parasites) are irresponsible cannot possibly be unexpected.

Visit any public housing project and you will find the identical behavior.

When people are given "things" (money, food, shelter, health care) their perceived value of what was given to them is zero. And since the value is zero, and they do not own it they do not take care of it - as if it were something THEY worked for.

Communism was an outstanding theory, Socialism a close relative....they BOTH fall apart in practice because somebody has to take out the trash, and in the theoretical world: taking out the trash is everybodies and nobody's job.

Re: “State Senator Nina Turner Proposes “Men’s Health” Bill

Great idea. However to be fair this needs to be paid for by the Government and offered free of charge to all male citizens.

And this legislation should include a PSA test and prostrate exam as well at a blood screen at no charge.

And after screening all future erectile dysfunction medications should be available at no charge to these legislators for life.

Come on lets be fair. If we can provide condoms and lube to women certainly we can provide ED pills to men.

Re: “Sand Blasted

We purchased a cottage east of North Perry in Madison years prior to construction. The beaches WERE the reason we bought here instead of other areas where there is only concrete and rock revetments on shore.

Since the building if the marina our beaches have been destroyed. We had hoped that North Perry Village would meet with us and work as good neighbors to address the problem. We found however that they are not concerned with the impact on down drift property owners and would rather to engage in a multi-year (expensive) litigation. (Maybe they think we will let our houses to fall in the lake or will simply leave.)

So far over 24,000 cubic yards of sand have been dredged out of that marina. Considerably more sand is still trapped to the west. (Think of how much material that is...A 10 wheeled dump truck holds 10-12 cu yds. ) 2,400 dump trucks worth of sand !!! This is NOT a NATURAL PROCESS. Excuses like "the lake does that" or "you have got to expect this" or "the dog eat my homework" will not erase the facts. This marina stopped the natural littoral flow of sand.

Stop by and see the damage for yourself if you are in the area. Any of the neighbors will be glad to show you before and after photos.
