Re: “Gabe's Deli in Cleveland Closes Its Doors on October 7th

So apparently there's a deli, named Gabe's Deli, in Lakewood, where I live, and it has been open for north of a year. But will only be open for two more weeks. But there's no mention of what street it's on, or its address. So, thanks, news.

Re: “Judge Rejects Lawsuit Brought by Group of Caucasian Cleveland Police Officers Against the City for Discrimination

Face it, this just isn't CPD's year. This is a rebuilding year. Next year they'll have some draft picks that should help turn it around.

Repeat the above yearly as needed. This works for the Tribe, Browns, Cavs, and the education system, too.

Re: “New Expert Reports, Released by Rice Family Lawyers, Call Shooting Death of Tamir "Unreasonable"

McGinty should resign or recuse himself. This needs to be investigated and prosecuted by someone outside of Cleveland, who isn't compromised.

Re: “RTA and Transit Officer Sued for March Incident Alleging Unlawful Arrest

I'm kinda satisfied that RTA sees that there was a problem, and acted swiftly, but why not fire the guy? 66 days of having a babysitter for assaulting someone who had provided proof that they had paid their fare? What justification is there to retain this person? I hope Ferrato presses charges.

Re: “Here's How Cleveland Police Handled a BB Gun Incident in May

To clarify my first comment, what happened in the Tamir Rice case shouldn't have happened. The police made mistakes in their handling of that call that resulted in Tamir's death. Tamir was doing something he shouldn't have, but he didn't need or deserve to die for it. In the real world, mistakes do happen, and unfortunately in this case the result was a tragic, needless loss of life.

So, this juvenile's apology acknowledges that what happened to Tamir could very well have happened to him. Sadly, not every incident has a happy ending.
