These big acts didn't necessarily come here as "big acts" they came as emerging acts which makes CLE a perfect market of financially affordable, attentive audience, and location. Perhaps it is best to embrace what we have while we have it and they go out to make millions. MGK, Bone-Thugs, Michael Stanley ect..
Perhaps the whole thing is a sham if they just induce anybody. perhaps a year goes by when non are worthy. I would say NWA has a place in music, maybe not 'rock' and SRV has a place but played the guitar when playing the guitar was not the 'thing' I agree that Kraftwerk had an influence on music as a whole, but rock? Deep purple is the soul of metal, trumped only by ozzy and Sabbath. somebody has to be second, cry me a river.
Mr. Jovi.....really? he might be a good person, i don't deny that, but Rock hall material?
on the other hand Mr. Reed has a voice in this conversation as far as i'm concerned.
Can't wait to get to the shop. Had a taste at CLE FLEA. Best wishes to Fear.
This shotgun approach is not good. Sure more hotel rooms are ideal, but after the next few large events what will become of them? An empty hotel or a decade? Someone needs to think long term. Perhaps a pop-up hotel can transition into something else useful a year or two after the huge influx of visitors. That amount of room seeking tourists is not sustainable no matter how optimistic you are.
i hope the police don't show up???
Dear Scene, Please try to do a better job. I like your work most of the time, but not a single caption. Did you just pull these off Instagram, cause i wasted 5 minutes looking at those photos, and 30 more seconds writing this. Just in case no one has the balls to say it....you need to do a little bit better.
I understand every media outlet has a different purpose, and Scene is a local, art heavy publication so perhaps this comment is not directed toward Scene, but
It's my estimation well over 2000 people have been murdered worldwide this past week...between Ukraine, Gaza, Israel, Iraq, not to mention Syria and the fact 1/2 of Japan is a radioactive wasteland polluting the ocean. As well the police in the U.S. seem to be killing people for things like selling cigs. Why is this even a story.
And I'll add one thing more....If the government can't kill a convicted murder in less than 100 minutes how can they be trusted with either health care, or wold wide military presence?
