Living on the East Coast and having my share of New York bagels these are the real deal!
I live right around the corner and gave up on the place. The menu is long as hell and half the items on the menu they don't even have especially the appetizers. None of the staff even comes close to speaking any English and who knows what you're going to get from the kitchen. I ordered 3 or 4 items and each time my waitress was saying "Pepsi"?
The service is extremely slow. More than once I had to get up with my menu and go give someone my order and the same with getting the check. There are so many better places to go in Midtown.
Somewhat of a solution.....ban all grocery carts from the streets. First of all, they are stolen from grocery stores and secondly they are primarily used to haul items they've stolen to begin with.
I think XYZ is the closest you'll get to NY style pizza.
They're touring in Australia in May :-(
and they left this out......MORE TO COME: Perhaps you read about the kerfuffle over Fabio Salerno's planned Ohio City restaurant in Scene & Heard. But he has other irons in the fire too. The chef-restaurateur is presently at work planning a new menu and interior for Detroit Shoreway's Reddstone, which he purchased last year. Also on tap is a downtown Cleveland location for Ballantine, business partner Sean Heineman's popular Willoughby gastropub.
@ Sam Bell.......it's a small space where a Ohio City Blooms used to be.....it's located adjacent to Howard Hanna Real Estate
