Why is it half assed Hughman? Give us some examples instead of posting rhetoric.
Frowns, what do you want to take up space there, a McDonald's? It's an upscale district but there are several reasonably priced restaurants there too. You can't be everything to everyone.
Cleveland Frowns, I live on Fourth Street and I can tell you first hand it is in fact a very vibrant and successful entertainment district. It's jammed every day of the week.
Actually Citizen, Cleveland gained population from 2012 to 2013. Nice try though.
The ONLY positive for Cleveland in this proposed merger is a slight boost in population and maybe a slight increase in the tax base but that will be offset by all the money that will have to be spent to keep East Cleveland going. Nothing else. This would be a complete disaster for the city of Cleveland with the increases in crime and poverty this merger would generate. The only positives for Cleveland these guys could come up with are historic structures, parks and a library. Wow, what a sales pitch. If East Cleveland is headed for bankruptcy let them file for it and reorganize and get their finances in order.
What a ridiculous list. Notice how no big cities are listed here. Nice attempt Scene Magazine at trying to spin this in a negative light in regards to only Cleveland.
Actually OCDUDE, Cleveland posted a population gain from 2012 to 2013 according to the latest census estimates released. Plenty of people can afford these price points as most of these restaurants downtown are successful. If you can't afford a $20 meal once in awhile might want to re-think your choice of career.
