Very clear, objective article, Doug. I am frankly surprised that there aren't more comments, as Dalton gave a seemingly sociopathic, blase account of his crimes, while being generally accepted back into political and civic arenas in his community. This is puzzling and scary.
Why are these people allowed anywhere but in a box? Okay, that's my emotions speaking, but, seriously, can't he be made to spend the rest of his days knitting pictures of crying kittens in his house while watching Golden Girls reruns? It's better than prison, but not really much of a life on the "outside."
