Why should he be fired? Just because you are a teacher does not mean you don't have the same right to freedom of speech as everybody else. He did not say it on the job, he did not involve the school in any way. It doesn't matter how much you disagree with his opinion, or how much of a bad person you think he is. The right to free speech is most important when it is speech that many others dislike. No one group should be exempt from being offended. The rest of us have to deal with it.
