Why is Lakewood constantly tearing down all these great old schools. Lakewood is a city full of history, they should be proud of that, boast it, and improve these schools and make them better to keep the city reviving. In a town thats average home age is 100 years old and they help the resedents maintain their aging properties, why then dont they do this on their schools as well. They tore down mckinley, they have torn down madison and harding and rebuilt harding and also tore down hayes and rebuilt it new. Why cant we RESTORE?!?!
I love the market, but what makes it so appealing is the fact that there is free parking. You go there to save money, not waste it on parking. $2 an hour is NOT, I repeat NOT modest at all!! IDK about you but when I go there, I am there for more than an hour and I don't want to be rushed. I do agree that they do need to fix it up and do some need maintenance repairs, but from what I have heard they are working on that. If you start charging for parking there will still be some that come but I guarantee you WILL see a loss in business. Make the necessary repairs to the building but DO NOT charge for parking .... that will be the decline of the market. None of us want to see it go anywhere and that is precisely what will happen, make decisions wisely. One does not pay to park to go to any other market in the area.
