The Metroparks are one of the best parts about living in Northeast Ohio. Given the size, scale and ongoing success of the Metroparks organization, $220,000 is not that bad. I'd rather see a successful leader paid a bit more, publicly, on the front end than find out five years from now the park system has a deficit because he was stealing on the back end. Good leaders are hard to come by and if an extra $35,000 is required to retain him so be it.
