A Brief, Wondrous Reading

When: Fri., Oct. 11 2013
Junot Diaz, the much-acclaimed author of The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and, most recently, the story collection This is How You Lose Her, gives a public reading at Cleveland State University at 5 p.m. today. Diaz has won just about every award available to working writers — you know, the Pulitzer, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the MacArthur Genius Grant, even the Anisfield-Wolf Prize — and writes primarily about Dominicans in America and the immigrant experience. He’s a total baller in the literary world, and someone you won’t want to miss reading his own dynamite stuff, especially when it’s free and open to the public. Skip out of work 15 minutes early and go see a master of his craft. The reading take place in the Main Classroom Auditorium. Go to neomfa.org for more info. (Allard)
