Best Festival

Greek Festivals

On almost any given summer weekend in Northeast Ohio, you can get your Greek on. The festivals are hosted by seven churches -- four in Greater Cleveland, one in Akron, and two in Canton. None charge admission, and all offer Greek dancing, games, and raffles. But there's a reason "ambrosia" is a Greek word: The food is divine, and its aroma fills the festival air. This might be your best chance to taste authentic gyros. Then again, how often will you be able to choose among homemade baklava, kourabiedes, and spanakopita? Our advice: Bring a giant appetite, and sample a little of everything.
