To usher in the summer, Club Deco took an unusual step with its happy-hour prices: It lowered them. Not that many customers noticed. On a typical afternoon, only a handful of regulars dutifully plunk down four dollars for a large pitcher of draft beer or a buck for a bottle of domestic brew. If the blue-collar prices or the bar's colorful hand-painted murals of naked men won't draw people in, there's always the affable Joe. He's the club's weightlifting bartender with a catering business on the side. If he's not arguing the virtues of mayonnaise over Miracle Whip, he's eagerly sharing his ancestral Slovenian recipes.
