Best Homecoming

Bob Simon

When Bob Simon returned to his native Lakewood for a break from seven years on the road, playing Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, the last thing he expected was to find himself back in the tights and fetishwear. But when he heard that Beck Center for the Arts was producing the play, he just had to call and offer his services to the community theater where he had first performed as a child. What really grabbed people's attention, however, was when the City of Lakewood asked Beck Center to join its Fourth of July parade, and Simon was dispatched to represent the current show. Needless to say, a witty, cross-dressing alien didn't go over well with the local PTA.
