Slip into some tight jeans and a tank top, throw on some aviators and dog tags: It's time to throwdown in the sand. Several nights a week, from spring until fall, Cleveland Plays offers athletes of every skill level the chance to bump (sometimes horribly), set (occasionally), and spike (very
occasionally) in one of Cleveland's coolest settings, Whiskey Island's Wendy Park. The co-ed evening leagues take place along the lake, with the sun diving in the distance. There are six-person rec teams (pretty awful volleyball, really), two-person competitive teams (pretty damn fun to watch), and everything in between. Bonus round: A dude sells ice-cold Molson tallboys just a serve away from the courts.
