Best Place for a Haunted Date 

Squire's Castle

Spooky adventures are a sure thing for arm-clutching romance, and Squire's Castle in the Metroparks provides your best bet for local supernatural passion. Built in the 1890s by Feargus B. Squire (a not-so-famed Cleveland oil man), the abandoned castle — it's actually only a gatekeeper's lodge, but no need to play that up, Romeo — is supposedly still haunted by Feargus' wife Rebecca, who reputedly broke her neck in the hunting room. Do a little research on the place (try, then show your knack for drama, leading your date around the structure and recounting the numerous reports of that female specter seen in the upstairs windows, clutching a lantern and searching for eternal rest. The grassy field out front is the perfect spot for a late-afternoon picnic, where you and your partner can kick back till dusk, when imaginations and (hopefully) hands begin to wander.
