Luxurious, indulgent, and always delightful, this first-rate restaurant inside the InterContinental Hotel & Conference Center employs beauty, wit, and European charm to create world-class meals, at admittedly worldly prices. Then again, no reasonable gourmet would expect a nine-course dégustation menu -- beginning with canapés and amuse-bouches; moving on to truffle-stuffed turbot and foie gras, perhaps; pausing briefly for a sorbet-and-champagne intermezzo; and concluding with artisanal cheeses, desserts, and a host of mignardises -- to come at bargain prices. As Mom said, you really do get what you pay for. So if you're gonna pay a bundle, you might as well get the best.
