Lorraine Ehrlinger is the owner of one the last remaining stand-alone tailor shops in Cleveland. "We're a dying breed," she jokes. In her cramped store at the corner of Cedar and Lee roads, Ehrlinger has been mending, altering, and sewing clothes for more than 30 years. Customers travel from as far away as Warren to get their pants shortened or their skirts hemmed by Ehrlinger's steady hand. She's quick, efficient, and cheap. If need be, Ehrlinger can turn around a pair of jeans in a day, and she charges only $12 for her trouser-shortening services. Ehrlinger also designs and sews her own clothes. One woman liked Ehrlinger's designs so much, she asked her to design her wedding dress.
